The property was approximately 13 minutes from historical centre. Cafes and restaurants in easy walking distance. Unit very comfortable beds and furniture. Well equipped unit with lovely terrace. Washing machine a challenge but eventually managed it. Hosts very responsive to any requests.

The apartment is really spacious and nicely furnished.comfortable bed and great bathrooms. Tavira is a lovely old town 10 minutes walk away. Plenty of good restaurants and cafes. Tavira island is beautiful, only 2.50€ return on the ferry. The terrace is very nice, it was very hot while we were there unfortunately the parasol was broken so there was no shade. We got bitten by mosquitoes so take some repellent! We had a great time.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment. It was very comfortable and within walking distance to the Old Town Center where there were several amazing restaurants, shops, and views to enjoy. The bed was very comfortable and the AC in each room was wonderful. It also had a washer/dryer that came in very handy for our extended visit to the Algarve (a bit tricky to figure out if you’re not European, but after a few guesses we got it down). We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

We had a great stay in this fully equipped and clean apartment. Great communication, we don't have any complaints. Parking is very easy, however all the great sights in Tavira are accessible by foot.

Situated in a good location , short walk to the main square of Tavira, shops / restaurants / supermarkets and bus and train station Checking in a was a breeze and we was able to enter the apartment earlier .. This rental was one of the best we have had in years of European travel. The location is excellent with a few minutes walk to the centre of Tavira. As well, there are at least three very good restaurants and a cafe just steps away. Parking is easy at the front door and it is close to the road out of town for touring the Algarve. The apartment is very comfortable , tastefully furnished and the kitchen is well equipped. The owner provided a very helpful detailed guide to the rental. I would not hesitate to recommend this place. In fact, we are already planning our return.

Well stocked, quiet area,..only trouble learning how to use things in a European country.

We stayed here for 6 weeks and enjoyed every minute. We didn’t have a car, but everything was within easy walking distance, including 3 grocery stores. If you Do have a car, there is parking, and because of the location you don’t have to drive through narrow, unfamiliar streets. The train station is less than a 10 minute walk, and we traveled to several other locations along the route. The neighborhood is very quiet and well lit at night. The house is spacious and comfortable with a huge patio where we enjoyed soaking up the sun. The owners are awesome, and Christine, the property manager was extremely helpful. In addition the neighbors were all friendly and welcoming. It was easy to make friends. Visits from Luna, the neighborhood cat, we’re an extra bonus. We have already booked again for next year!

The apartment had everything needed for a totally relaxing stay. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the big outside space.

We stayed a week in Tavira and were very pleased with the flat - location, appliances, cleanliness - all as described. The hosts were always available from the moment of booking and a special thanks to Christine who was very understanding with the check-in and check-out times. It was perfect for our holiday!

Apartment is listed as luxury!! Comfortable and spacious living area, beds comfortable but bedrooms quite cramped, no coffee machine or perculator, cafatiere was cracked so not usable, no juicer or teapot, cupboard handles were grimey had to scrub them as not nice to use

The apartment is exactly like in the pictures. Our stay was super cool, tjhe communication was clear and everything worked well. I totally recommend this apartment

This apartment is just the place you would want to spend time in, it is clean and very tastefully decorated. Recently updated to provide an on suite and also a lovely bathroom. We love this apartment and wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting Tavira.

Fantastic location, great terrace, spacious apartment. A bit of a hiccup upon arrival (hence low rating for that bit) but otherwise great. Would highly recommend.

The flat is pleasant in a safe, quiet neighbourhood within easy walking distance of the town centre , train station and bus station. Tavira is a lovely old town with many restaurants, good communications and history. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

stayed at this apartment 10 days in October, absolutely wonderful , clean and tidy all mod cons . 2 bathrooms and showers, location very handy 10 min stroll to town, the apartment is so quite at night , and throughout the day you never see anybody. 2 good supermarkets 10 mins away . railway station 5 min walk also the same for bus station. overall if you are planning a trip to Tavira I recommend you stay here as you will not be disappointed. thanks Clive, Lucy, and Margaret. This was our third visit to Tavira which we love and intend to visit again next summer. Both our previous visits included lovely apartments but this was the best one so far. The apartment was quiet and relaxing with excellent kitchen and hot water shower facilities. Everything in the property was of a good quality, well maintained and clean. We were met by Stuart who spent quite a bit of his time helping us to settle in. The apartment was a good size with a large patio which we particularly enjoyed after a day out on Tavira island. The apartment is close to the centre of Tavira with Lidl, Aldi and the train station very close.

We had a really comfortable and enjoyable stay. Loved the new changes to the apartment and the shower rooms were beautiful. It was good to have WiFi with holidaying with teenagers. Really love Tavira, the beaches are stunning, food was gorgeous as always and the people are hospitable ms friendly ... looking forward to our next stay!

The apartment was even more comfortable than our last visit with its two beautiful shower rooms and well appointed bedrooms . Everything in the property was well maintained and clean , Our meeting with Margaret and her management of organization of taxi to and from the airport was excellent. We have already passed on all the property details to our friends in our town . Moving around Tavira always makes feel good and love the restaurants and cafes, can’t wait till the next time. Lovely clean spacious apartment with a nice sunny patio. Well equipped kitchen if you want to do your own cooking. Ideal location - just a few minutes walk into town and close to the main N125 and A22 motorway so no need to drive through the tricky one-way streets of Tavira. Lots to do in and around Tavira. Lots of nice bars and restaurants. We particularly like O Castel for steaks and D'Gusta for tapas. Black Anchor has decent pub food and is good for watching the sport. If you like the beach get the ferry from town to Ilha da Tavria where there are miles of beach and lots of cafes and restaurants. Costs 1 euro I think. Faro is a good day out. Take the train - it only takes 40 minutes and costs just a few Euros. Tavira train station is 5-10 minutes walk from the apartment. There's a free walking tour of Faro from the Arco da Vila. Loule is also worth a trip. Get there before the market shuts. Don't take the train as Loule train station is miles from the town centre. Drive or take a train to VRSA and get the ferry to Ayamonte in Spain. Lots of nice restaurants for some tapas or paella. Some decent golf courses (Benamor, Quinta da Ria, Quinta da Cima, Quinta da Vale and Castro Marim) and much cheaper than the other Algarve courses. This was my third visit to Tavira. Will definitely be back..

The apartment is comfortable, well equipped and a 10minute gentle stroll into the center of Tavira. The weather was better than we could have hoped for in February, we were able to breakfast on the large sunny patio morning after morning. We did not hire a car, a walking and cycling trail follows the coast and we found paths out into the countryside. The apartment is in a quiet location but there are two supermarkets, a fantastic organic farm shop and train station within minutes. The apartment itself is extremely comfortable, a real home from home. Margaret, the lady who met us on arrival, was on hand should we have required anything. We would like to thank her and the Ingleby family for a great stay, our second winter visit.

After our lovely welcome we quickly settled in to the lovely apartment. Outside the surroundings were very comfortable, getting around was easy , taxis are not expensive and it was very nice just strolling through the town. Will certainly book again .

We booked this apartment having never been to Tavira, we were attracted to it for the close location to the centre (5-10 min walk) as well as the outside space. We weren't disappointed. The terrace is large and sunny with table seating for 5 and 2 sun loungers. Although buildings all around you didn't feel overlooked. English neighbours very friendly. We did go up to the roof terrace but there was no furniture so we didn't use it. The pictures of the apartment don't show how lovely the apartment really is, it is very modern and we'll equipped, bathroom could do with modernising to bring it up to the standard of the rest of the apartment but it is serviceable and wouldn't stop me booking again. Parking under the building was good as it was always busy in the street outside to get parked. Note on Tavira - when we were here it was extremly hot and we were both bitten badly so be prepared. Marvelous quite area no noisy traffic, just what was needed, apartment had everything we needed, didn't use roof top but nice views. Spacious inside and out on the patio. Short walk to the right down to the road under bridge left to fire station keep walking straight to River and town. Shopping at Lidl by the train station 10min walk no problem. Great to be met by Margaret and Michael, who arranged transfer from airport. Over all Great☺☺

The apartment was beautifull and very well equipped.Margaret showed us around the apartment then very kindly drove us around the area in her car, this was great as it helped us to get our bearings. Tavira is a great place for a holiday and we would return for another visit and stay in this apartment again.

A very cared for property.

We really enjoyed our stay in Tavira and the apartment is clean and spacious just like home from home. Close to the railway line going to Faro and Vila Real at the Spanish border. Supermarkets within easy walking distance so very handy for shopping. Very easy booking procedure and agent arranged transfers from and to airport.

I think it is fair to say that this was the best apartment we have rented so far. As soon as we walked through the door we were impressed, it smelt fresh, was very clean and well maintained and all the furnishings and bedding etc were very good quality, it didn't feel like a holiday let, nor did it feel like somebody else's home, we were so comfortable because it felt like our own home. We were planning to walk from the train station (which is less than 10mins walk) but as we arrived at Tavira and took out the map which Clive provided we were greeted by Jacky, who very kindly insisted she drive us to the apartment. Shortly after our arrival, whilst checking out the huge patio, we met the next door neighbour who invited us to a communal BBQ that was being held that evening in the gardens in the centre of the apartment block. Even though we were on the ground floor and the patio wall is low, we had total privacy from anybody passing by. Tavira is a gorgeous traditional town, not too big, and was easily reached on foot, there are several routes to take so you won't get bored. Bus station and train station no more than 10 mins stroll. Lidl supermarket next to train station. We took the train to Vila Real San Antonio (30mins and inexpensive) then the ferry across Spanish border to Ayamonte for the day, a lovely town and VRSA had a huge market which we visited on our return journey. The Portuguese people we met were so pleasant and helpful. There are lots of nice restaurants all over the town but one I would particularly recommend for exceptional food is 'O Castelo' just below the castle on the road fromt the train station to the Roman Bridge, also another we liked was 'D'Gusta' on the other side of river between Roman and rail bridges. The beaches are lovely, take the ferry to Ilha Tavira 1€ each way, also Praia Do Barril, we went by bus to Pedras del Rei then took the little tour train across to the beach where we were amazed by the stretch of beautiful golden sand, the Cemetry of Anchors and the sparkling Atlantic. We would definitely return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment to anybody.

Having returned to the Western Algarve and the Alentejo for our holidays each year since 1985, we had, for the last few years considered trying the Eastern Algarve and so in 2016 we had our first holiday in Tavira.Although our holiday and residence were good our stay this time was enhanced by the superb accommodation which we found to be very comfortable, clean and with many facilities as described in the itinerary and most importantly everything functioned as it should! Communication is a very important aspect and was excellent throughout, particularly nice to have someone waiting at the accommodation to greet you.There would be no hesitation in recommending a stay here! The location is convenient for the railway station( great value, $5.60 return to Vila Rea)l, bus station, town centre and restaurants and also supermarkets and traditional local market, all within a 10 to 20 minute radius. We prefer to mix eating in the local restaurants with meals in the accommodation.Fresh food is very reasonable in price and excellent quality, as this is only our second holiday in Tavira we are still checking out the restaurants but the Avienda, Castello and Jorge and Lia are worth a visit.The Tuk-Tuk tours are good for seeing lots of the area in a short space of time, personal service, driver and yourselves,not cheap but we considered it whorthwhile.So what did we not like about Tavira? well, we are still looking!
