We were happy with how clean the rooms were. The bed was comfortable, the room was spacious and it was quiet. The staff were friendly and they even rang to check on us when we were late checking in. It exceeded my expectations room wise.

There was no secure parking so I was quite worried about our car over night.

Difficult to find the reception as hotel over two buildings. A long way to walk from the car parking out the back up to the rooms (difficult with lots of bags).

The power was out from 2.00am-5.50am I had a work conference that day and did not get any sleep during this time.

Not much...didn't stay

Sadly upon arrival the smell in the corridor's was not pleasant. On inspection of the room we decided that we would not stay. The room was directly over the gaming lounge which is open until 4:45 am. While the room was spacious it was also very worn out with mould in the bathroom. The room didn't overlook the mine or have a view. It overlooked a side street.

The free laundry was helpful, and the location is convenient for shops (woolies, bottle shop etc). The food in the attached restaurant was okay.

It seems like two hotels (Red Earth and Isa) have joined, and so there's a fair bit of walking involved between the different parts of the hotel from place to place. Reception is in one parts, the room and restaurant are in the other, and so on. Not a huge deal perhaps, unless you've got heavy luggage, which I did. The sound-proofing in the rooms isn't great, which I discovered when the next-door people came back drunk. My room had an exterior staircase (fire escape) right outside, so when people used that exit (they did a lot) they were directly outside my window.

We ordered room service and after an hour and a half we rang to see where it was. We then received our meals and they were cold. Bit disappointed!

More blankets and shower was a bit difficult to use
