From the moment we arrived we were knew we had chosen the right place to stay. The Happy Pig is charming. We were welcomed by one of our hosts, Irma who offered us afternoon tea and coffee and a sweet treat to eat in the sitting room.
Our room looked out on the back gardens. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. The wonderful breakfast was served in a cute “breakfast” room. And you can’t beat the location. It’s within walking distance of downtown Kenmare but far enough away so you can’t hear the street noise.
The last night we came into our room and we found homemade cookies! We had to leave early the next morning so our hosts placed a tray outside our room with yogurt, fruit, coffee and tea. So thoughtful. We highly recommend The Happy Pig. Can’t wait to come back!

This was by far the nicest bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. The host was exceptional and she made an amazing breakfast. You could choose from several selections, all fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. The host also had recommendation’s for dinner spots and sights to see. The walk into town was only seven minutes but you felt like you were out in the country.

Very friendly reception on arrival. Irma could not do enough to make us very welcome. Gave us an excellent rundown of where to eat and the best places to visit. We took up most of her suggestions and were not disappointed.
Situated on a fairly busy road but the hospitality more than made up for this

The welcome and hospitality from Irma and little pickles her pet dog was 11/10. The breakfast was amazing, highly quality ingredients and we stayed in a luxurious room with a lovely view of the gardens. The grounds of the guesthouse were beautiful. The guesthouse was warm and friendly, a short walk into town.

Breakfast was great and made personally by the host, who was friendly and helpful. My parents loved the pig decor. The rooms are up the stairs though, but otherwise we had a great time.

The Happy Pig is an example of excellence in Accommodation ,from the" Welcome" refreshments to the well stocked library,not to mention the porcine theme throughout, and Irma's professional approach to hospitality....no stone unturned to ensure her guests hadA1 memories !

This one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. Extremely cute and cozy. Located very near the city center of adorable Kenmare. The hostess is extremely welcoming and the breakfast menu was wonderful.
The room was small and the mattress was very firm so be aware if you prefer a softer mattress you might want to ask if they have that available.

Everything was just beyond amazing at this place. They make us feel like home. Bedrooms very spacious and comfy but the best was the breakfast, I can't describe how nice it was! Would definitely recommend this place and go back there.

The hostesses were wonderful. With the fabulous breakfast, cookies placed in your room, and offers of afternoon tea, they made it a treat! They were also very helpful with directions and tips for things to see in the area.
The rooms are quite tight - understandable as it is a B&B - but we could only have one suitcase opened at a time. Also some of the Booking.com features were incorrect.

Easy to find, easy to park, easy to walk further into town, lots of room, nice decor, and great breakfast! We had to leave before the normal breakfast serving time and they left out lots of choices for us anyway!
My husband didn't find the bed to be super comfortable. I didn't like the little green/ blue light on the ceiling keeping me awake at night. It must be some kind of safety light but it really did hurt my sleep. Someone had previously tried to cover it to dampen the effect but not enough. We would have said something but we were there for only one night and left early the next morning.

Irma is a wonderful host. So accommodating and goes above and beyond for her guests. We checked in fairly late after a very long day and after dinner, came back to hot water bottles in bed which was such a thoughtful touch! Our room was comfy and spacious and had all the amenities we could have hoped for.
And breakfast the next day is not to be missed! Won’t stay anywhere else in Kenmare!

Everything. The room, facilities, breakfast and location. I particularly enjoyed the kindness and friendliness of the staff, they very attentive and made the weekend, a perfect experience. Definitely recommended if you want to visit the area!
