Great location handy to everything. Comfy beds and pillows. Everything was perfect.

The night duty staff member who welcomed us when we checked in. He was cold and unwelcoming, no smile and only one worded answers, it felt like we had done something wrong and were being sent to the naughty corner. Luckily we didn’t have to see him again so all good for the rest of our stay. The rest of the staff were amazing.

Die Lage des Hotels.

Ich fragte beim zweiten Frühstück (01.06.24), ob ich bitte eine Tasse heiße Schokolade haben könnte. Der Kellner sagte unfreundlich nein und ging. Das war eine Unverschämtheit.

The rooms and hotel itself were extremely clean, and facilities were impeccable. The staff was warm and welcoming. Loved that the hotel was located within walking distance to most attractions.

The step into the shower/bathtub was a bit higher than normal with no railing to hold on to when stepping in/out..this was not a problem for us but it maybe for someone with mobility issues or older folks.

The breakfast service was bad, waiting for clean cups, plates a.s.o. ! Waiting for desk cleaning! Staff not motivated!

It's undeniably in a great location, but that's about as far as it goes

I booked 4 nights here, having missed the fact that Swissotel is part of the very average Accor group - my mistake. I used to travel extensively in the UK for work & learnt to avoid Novotel properties (also part of Accor) - all stuck in a bit of a 70's / 80's time warp & in much need of renovation. This was similar - room small & dated - seriously in need of a refurb. We didn't book breakfast, but were offered it at check-in for 17.50 Euros / person. By the following morning, it was 23.50 Euros / person, simply because we hadn't committed to the check-in offer - a bit of a cheek, when you're paying over 1000 Euros for 4 nights room only. In hindsight, we should have stayed at the Krasnapolsky, on the other side of Dam Square - I stayed there previously, when it was a NH Hotel - expensive, but at least it feels like you're getting something luxurious for your money

De locatie, makkelijk centraal gelegen, maar daar betaal je dan ook de super hoofdprijs voor. Een hotel van dit niveau zou zeker 50% goedkoper moeten zijn.

Het ontbijt, tegen een klagende klant werd gezegd “what you see is what you get”. Ik heb nog nooit zo’n mager ontbijtbuffet gezien, amper beleg, geen boter en de scrambled eggs waren kurkdroog i.p.v. romig.
