Sehr schön gelegenes Hotel mit Blick auf die Stauseen. Unser Zimmer war gut ausgestattet. Das Abendessen im Hotel war sehr gut. Auch der Swimmingpool war angenehm und mit Sonnenliegen und Sonnenschirmen gut benutzbar.

Beautiful property, location to go to for views and tranquility, we had a very nice stay. Nice pool, we did not use it but it looked inviting. Geres mountains are magical, mountain streams, waterfalls and pixie woods just a short drive from the Pousada.

Instant coffee at breakfast, and there is an extra charge to order fresh eggs, otherwise its powdered scramble. Rather disappointing and not on par with the prime location and good rooms, it can be very easily changed to make a huge difference. We had dinner too and it was fine, although they charged us 8 euro (4 each) for bread, olives and butter service (!?) Bread was not very good and very few olives. The server just brought it all to us and did not mention a charge.

The Pousada has fabulous views over the forest and river. The staff was very professional. We enjoyed a very good dinner. Had the weather been better, we would have stayed longer.

The weather, but there is nothing anyone can do about it. We liked everything else.

It was our first time out with our 8 months baby and we had a memorable stay at Pousada Caniçada-Gerês. Staff went above and beyond, from reception to cleaner. We felt at home away from home. Fireplace room is really cosy and has a stunning view of Cavado River. Thanks a million to Amanda, Ana Maria, Lilliana and cleaner (sorry can't remember the name).
