Los muebles de la habitación un poco deteriorados. El desayuno era variado y de calidad, pero mejoraría la oferta de pan (casi todo era tipo sándwich). La Hostería del Estudiante tiene margen de mejora, pescado demasiado hecho, albóndigas secas y sin sabor y faltaban algunas referencias de vino por copas. RCP deficiente.

Large comfortable bed; friendly, helpful staff; reasonable price; well located, quick walk to city centre I had one meal in the restaurant and 2 in the cafeteria and they were both well done.

I stay at Paradors for the experience of staying in a place with some historical significance or value. This was a huge disappointment for me. Everything was metallic grey or glass, new and shiny. Very few traces of an original structure if any, at least not in the parts I had access to. Walking to my room was like walking through a high school gymnasium. Parador breakfasts are usually a great treat. This too was a disappointment. The warm food was not so warm or well cooked even though I asked to have it well done. Service at times slow and disorganized. The cold food at times did not look fresh to me. The lighting system in the room was an annoyance. The toilet/bidet are in a separate room (good) but it's narrow and makes it hard to sit down without hitting your head on the wall. The shower is not in the bathroom (bad) but separated from the bed by a half wall. No real problem for me but could be a problem depending on who you are travelling with. I have no idea why they would design it this way.
