The location was good. There's a lake nearby and local walks are pleasant. The rooms were adequate but not fancy. The breakfast was plentiful. The swimming pool and spa were crowded but sufficient for a quick dip.

The staff were fairly cold and the restaurant and bar service was slow.

Very nice hotel in the countryside. Dinner and breakfast were really good. The (public) swimming pool is very sizeable. The nature around invites for walks or runs. Trier with its cultural highlights is not far away. Saarschleife and Völkilinger Hütte are other destinations worth exploring.

It was close to a nice lake

It was old. Very old. It smelled bad. You know this heavy smell of stale air around old textiles - it was all over the hotel and it stunk. The food was terrible. I hadn’t eaten anything the whole day, so at 2 p.m I ordered a Ceasar salad. it was terrible. Disgusting to the point that I couldn’t eat it. And my kid had spaghetti. They were really, really bad. Like spaghetti from a can from a supermarket, that they just open and poured into a plate. The spa was also old. And you had to share it with everyone else who just bought entrance for the spa. One of the most uninteresting spa that I’ve seen

Everything was super nice. The area is beautiful, staff super nice and the hotel mega clean. We enjoyed the pool a lot and it’s super dog friendly.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, next to a nice lake and to a forest plenty of ways for walking, hiking or bicycling. We enjoyed a lot the brasserie, the restaurant during the dinner, and the breakfast. The staff is very kind and helpful.

The pool & spa is public with free access to the hotel guests. Children (with the usual stuff they wear in the pools) have plenty access to the spa pool, what is not nice if you look for some relax.

Breakfast was excellent, even with COVID-19 restrictions. Wellness facilities were also excellent and the room was very comfortable.

We had dinner in the "gourmet" restaurant. The dinner did not meet our expectations. The food was not seasoned and was only warm when brought to the table. We had to ask for salt and pepper...I feel it should have been offered to us when dinner was served. It took an extremely long time for our table to be cleared after eating.
