Gut gelegen, freundliches Personal, Hotel wurde renoviert (größtenteils), Frühstück war ok, aber leider nichts besonderes, Wellnessbereich sauber und ansprechend
Zu einem Wellnessurlaub gehört auch erholsamer Schlaf, daran war leider nicht zu denken. Das Hotel ist sehr hellhörig. Die Betten waren extrem unbequem, man hat jede Sprungfeder gespürt. Die Möbel wirkten nicht sehr hochwertig, generell wurde bei der Renovierung gespart. Das Bad war ohne bodenebene Dusche, welche auch noch eng und schlecht gepflegt war (Schimmel und Kalk) . Leider ist das Bad so eng gewesen, dass man sich kaum als einzelne Person darin bewegen konnte. Haare fönen war unmöglich, dies musste ich im Wellness Bereich erledigen. Dieser war sauber und etwas verwinkelt. Entspannung war auch hier Fehlanzeige, da bei den Ruheliegen die zugehörigen Auflagen fehlten.

Nettes Personal, sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Zentrale Lage mitten in Oberhof. Schwimmbad und Saunabereich ist hübsch.
Nicht barrierefrei, was sich für uns als etwas umständlich erwiesen hat. Wir mussten den Kinderwagen jeden Tag die Treppen ins Haus rauf und runter tragen. Im Haus gibt's dann einen Lift, der allerdings zwischen 21 und 7 Uhr außer Betrieb ist. Zum Frühstück mussten wir dann wieder mehrere Treppen mit Kinderwagen bewältigen. Geht, aber nervt etwas.
Die Extrakosten in Höhe von 9€ pro Person für Bademantel und Saunatuch sowie 12€ Parkgebühren täglich finde ich allerdings überteuert. Bei einem Wellness-Hotel sollten Bademäntel inklusive sein.
Abends gibt es nur Buffet. Wir haben darauf verzichtet.

Das Frühstück war gut und reichlich.
Das wir bei der Ankunft gleich bezahlen mußten und das das Parken am Hotel nicht umsonst war.

Zimmer waren sauber, großzügiger Spa-und Wellness-Bereich, sehr freundliches Personal. Frühstück reichhaltig und großzügige Auswahl.
Zusatzkosten Bademantel und Saunatücher. Diese gehören in einem Spa- und Wellness-Hotel dazu. Der Außenbereich könnte sauberer und aufgeräumter sein. Parkkosten sind grenzwertig. Die Textilen (Handtücher, Bademäntel) haben auch die besten Zeiten hinter sich und sollten ausgetauscht bzw. vorher kontrolliert werden.

Das Hotel liegt umgeben von einem schönen Park, ist sehr komfortabel eingerichtet mit Swimmingpool und sehr grosser Wellness- und Saunaanlage. Ausser der Wellnessanwendungen kann man alles als Hotelgast kostenlos benutzen, dafür Übernachtungspreis sehr günstig. Personal ist stets sehr freundlich und bemüht, Zimmer ist auch sehr geräumig und gemütlich eingerichtet, Frühstücksbuffet ausgezeichnet. Ich komme bestimmt wieder.
Im Restaurant ist das Abendessen leider viel zu teuer, es gab nur ein Buffet für EUR 42,- pro Person. Einfach unakzeptabel, daher habe ich woanders gegessen, obwohl ich in das gemütliche Restaurant gern gegangen wäre.
Das Wasser des Swimmingpools ist sehr kühl, etwa 28-30 Grad wäre angenehm. Es wäre schön, wenn die Saunaanlage genau wie der Swimmingpool auch schon morgens vor dem Frühstück geöffnet werden würde. wäre ein perfekter Start in den Tag, der so aber auch sehr schön ist.

The hotel has great location. It is a great starting point for trekking in the mountains. Staff is extremely helpful. A lot of place to park around the hotel.

Property was excellent, on great location. Room well equiped, bed more than comfortable. Extra clean, the cleanest hotel which I was. Everything was perfect. Breakfast also was excellent, with huge variety of nice food. Hotel for grade 10.

no English info. all communications in German. no night porter or emergency contact. charged for a nights stay we didn’t even have due to not getting into our room until 6am! no apology for lack of communication or that we had to sleep in reception!!

The room was reasonably clean. Silence. Hard to add any major positives. The location is depressing, like it got stuck in the darkest times of the DDR.
Spa/pool opening times absurd. No reasonable way to take a swim in the morning before checkout. Staff were stiff and not super helpful, breakfast comically expensive.

The hotel has a good wellness infrastructure but is not always easy to get to (times and access). Breakfast was very good and in many rooms with enough space to be comfortable. The fact that the receptionist did her best to meet our needs.
We had to wait quite a long time at reception where there was no one. Only one person who has to do a lot of things at the same time.
I asked for a room with a view but we couldn't see anything out of the window because of the scaffolding outside.
No charm. Pay parking.

This is not on the hotel, but on you. If you announce a price of 49 Eur and write in the fine print that local taxes as well a spa tax may apply, however all those add up to 20 Eur (or 40 percent in addition) you are simply liable for misguiding customers. Staying in other places than Oberhof would have meant to shown price is the final price.
Instead in May there was a heating fee of 10 Eur applied in the price although there was no heating necessary. But it stands for the hotel's policy to charge all and everything additionally.

A very nice hotel with cosy rooms well furnished. A great swimming pool, very rich buffet breakfast, good dinner. In the surroundings there is a large playground for children which is great when you travel with small children. Staff were very friendly.
Maybe some staff at the hotel restaurant did not speak English but using basic German language we were able to communicate and everthning was then OK. At the restaurant we would appreciate a fresh lemon instead of juice in the pack. However these are only small details, nothing serious. :-)

Nice location with shops and restaurants in walking distance. Nice wellness center . Tea area on floor.
Forgot to book breakfast while booking and got told at check in it would be 19.50,- Euro instead of 10,- .
So i went to the bakery down the road and paid 5.60,-.Surcharge for energy usage is 6,- Euro . That was not disclosed at booking and i think it should be charged if guest are using the wellness area.
Parking another 8,- Euros .
I did not care for the bed very much but this is a personal preference.Bathroom very small.

The breakfast was very fine and delicious. Also the Spa Area had a lot of different Sauna und rooms for relaxing.
Our rooms was small with very tiny windows. The windows were not in the height of the head, so you have to look down for looking out.

Considering pictures on Booking.com I expected an Austrian quality spa. It is not. Mass Tourismus 3* hotel. Spa in the celler, small resting area ,uncomfortable recliners.

Nice location, close to neighbourhood restaurants though very quiet. Modern facilities, very friendly and helpful staff, really outstanding breakfast. Good value for money.
Additional charges were a little high - 6 EUR for bathrobe and 2 towels, 8 EUR for outdoor parking is quite a high price compared to the reasonably priced rooms.
