the friendliness of the staff at the hotel was the good part of the stay .Specially the reception staff .

the room has some kind of smell and after we complained , was offered to change the room we stayed in same was given air freshner , the room floor and hotel entrance had food smell coming up. Breakfast was not upto the mark, they didnt have bread toaster , a small sandwich griller was used as toaster , spread didnt have much options .

The staff is absolutely incredible. Rafaella was very helpful, professional and positive. the bartender Marino (sp) was very informative and personable. location is perfect for getting around. hotel provides toiletries and extra pillows and blankets if you need one. resident cat will hang out with you.

to be fair, the facility is very old and although they mention their renovations, it has clearly was some time ago and the rooms have worn down since that time. due to the age of the hotel, the floors make a lot of noise, if you are a light sleeper higher floor is needed. You cannot control the temperature in your room which is annoying, but you can request they turn-off the system in your room completely.

1. We arrived in the morning and stored our luggages at reception . But when we return in the evening , the staff in charge can’t find our keys . Only managed to find the keys after a lot of pushing . 2. When we finally arrived our room, the drain cover in bathtub is stuck . An Indian lady helped us to temporary solved the problem. 3. The whole room is very stuffy and warm . After complained , the Indian lady told us she can adjust the air conditioning from reception area . The room condition improved after it . But it became warm and stuffy at midnight again , we called reception and the guy said he can’t adjust from his end . At 4am , we woke up again as it is really very stuffy and hot in the room. The guy said nobody complained about it and we are the only one . We ended up open the windows for the rest of 2-3 hours and listened to the loud car noises on the street . The next morning , we happened to meet the guest next door at lift, she told us it is very stuffy too . She also forced to open the windows . 4. conclusion , the staff are inexperienced and not well trained . Customer service attitude has a lot of room to improve .

Our corner room on an upper floor was lovely - spacious, quiet and with a great view. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows and good duvets. The room was well furnished and had a table and two chairs which we were able to use for eating our dinner one evening, and which provided a lovely space for relaxing when we weren't out and about exploring. There was plenty of storage space for bags and belongings. The location was excellent - a short walk from the railway station, close to shopping and restaurants and close to the park where the paragliders land. The breakfast was very good - a typical continental breakfast with good options.
