I rarely leave reviews but I cannot recommend the Hotel Montemare more highly. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, when our travel plans were forced to change last minute due to the inclement weather they ensured we were able to find alternative means of travel to get to our next destination. The daily breakfast was a highlight of our day.

Everything! The staff are just amazing, the rooms were stunning! Specifically Chiara and Mary at reception! They were warm and always ready to go over and beyond! We were treated like movie stars. The restaurant view was beyond amazing!

At night there were a few noises down the hall and again early in the am. A pool would have been amazing but I knew going in that there wasn’t one. The jacuzzi was quite warm and not much relief as it was a heatwave in Positano! Would have been nicer to have a wall between the shower and the room :)

EVERYTHING! the views, the property, the rooms and the service were all top notch! We are not easily impressed and we were simply amazed. It was an unforgettable experience. Completely worth the money. We can’t wait to go back. The breakfast might have been one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had, including executive floors. The 5-7pm wine time was a lovely touch. The staff could not have been nicer. You’re close enough to town square but not in the middle of the chaos of Positano in June.

The stay was outstanding. The staff and service were friendly, helpful and caring. The views from the room, bar and restaurant are spectacular. We felt extremelly confortable and cared for. I highly recommend it.

The one small thing was the light on the balcony that we could not figure out how to turn it off. We could have asked at the reception but we kept forgetting until it was night and we had to close the curtains all the way to avoid the glare.

If I could give this place a 15/5 stars I would! We had the absolute BEST time staying at Hotel Montemare. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, the staff treated us like royalty. Ana, Federica, and literally every single staff member was incredibly kind and helpful. They did everything from booking us rides to giving us recommendations and anything in between. They sang me happy birthday and sent beautiful flowers and a sweet card to my room. We got in super late and they had food sent to our room even though the kitchen was closed & we had a very early flight and they packed us a to go breakfast. The little things made all the difference. They all made our stay so special and I’m forever grateful for the wonderful experience they gave us. If the incredible staff wasn’t enough, the hotel and our room was absolutely stunning. I’m convinced we had the best view in Positano. The room was huge modern and the hot tub in the balcony was AMAZING after a long day of walking. We had breakfast every morning on the beautiful terrace and a there wine tasting every single night. The hotel is also right on the Main Street and is walking distance to all the shopping and the main beach, Spiaggia Grande. The view from the restaurant in the hotel, Il Capitano is absolutely breathtaking and the food is so so good. I couldn’t say enough good things about thing place and I would recommend this hotel to ANYONE going to stay in Positano.

I liked how there was a beautiful view being that it was higher up on the cliff than the other hotels. The staff was incredibly sweet and they has so many nice suprises being that it was our honeymoon.

We booked a king bed suite with jacuzzi on deck with beautiful views of the water and cliff side. Room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Staff was very friendly and the coordinated our off-site parking for $70 euro. The outdoor deck could use some maintenance in terms of hot tub maintenance, deck boards loose, ant control, etc. Overall nice, quiet, relaxing 1 night stay in Positano.

The entire staff was so lovely, accommodating and helpful. Even before we arrived, they were happy to answer any questions we had about booking taxis, restaurants, experiences and more - very approachable and knowledgeable about Positano and the surrounding areas. And when we were there, they were happy to guide us through our stay and make everything as stress-free as possible, booking all our last-minute taxi requests and more. The hotel itself is very beautiful - clean and pristine with a great balance of indoor and outdoor space. We looked forward to eating breakfast every morning, not only for the food but also to enjoy the wonderful views. Our room was very large for 2, was refreshed every day, and so nice to be able to enjoy the hot tub while looking out onto the ocean. Would definitely come back!

It would have been nice to have staircase options to get in and out of the hotel instead of having to take the elevator to just go up and down 2 floors, but it made sense as a security issue and for a small hotel.

Incredibly attentive and kind staff- went out of their way to make our trip flow seamlessly. They had a bottle of prosecco waiting for us in celebration of our honeymoon and the room had an incredible view with a very comfortable bed!

A 2nd chair in the room would have been nice especially that we spend a lot of time in it due to the heavy rain

The staff were standout to us - we chose to visit this hotel on the second part of our honeymoon and the service was amazing. Every staff member always had a smile on their faces. Bianca was always so kind and friendly and Katrina did a great job on the wine tasting which was such a lovely touch. Views Excellent and breakfast to die for. But the staff definitely make it and can not do enough for you. We will definitely return to this hotel.
