Bathroom in junior suite Madame Butterfly needs updating. Shower screen had gap at the bottom which leaves a pool of water on the floor. Jet bath outdated- needs replacing

This hotel is inside the walled city of Lucca and is completely charming. The hotel manager was the best in our two weeks in Italy. We received recommendations on restaurants, a concert, where to rent bikes. All of the staff was helpful. The cook to order breakfast was delicious and delivered hot to the table. We would be pleased to stay again at a future trip.

Cannot recommend this place enough. The hotel is beautiful and in an excellent location but the main selling point is the staff who went out of the way to make our stay comfortable.

The staff went overboard to help us be comfortable at the hotel. Special thanks to Roberto, Mario and Gabriel. The breakfast offered was good with yoghourt, eggs, delicious cakes, and coffee. If you visit by car, there is a gated garage around the corner from the hotel.

Although the hotel is in the middle of a walled city, I wouldn't rate it to be a 4 star hotel. The feeling of the room was that everything was used and old. The parquet floor had some missing pieces. The toilette was so close to the wall that I could touch the wall with my knees. We were expecting something better for an accommodation.

Our favorite stay during our 2-week visit to Italy. We enjoyed Prosecco from our balcony overlooking the rooftops of Lucca. Wonderful staff, especially Roberto, who provided us with exceptional customer service. Outstanding breakfast too!

very clean and Mario at the front desk was always welcoming and tried to help everyone out giving advice on where to go and always tried to look after all customers as quickly as possible. rooms were very clean, water was perfect in the showers and overall a very pleasant stay

The staff was fabulous especially Roberto and Mario who helped us with many Suggestions and reservations. The property very charming and clean.

Our only complaint was that one of the three bedrooms that we had only had a small tub with a sprayer that made it difficult no shower curtain

The location was convenient, the room was beautiful with the necessary amenities. Owner and son were friendly and took good care of our needs. Breakfast was nice served in very sweet and cozy sitting room. We felt welcomed and in very good hands

The room setting was a bit awkward, lacking hangings and good spaces for our luggage. Also the old cute gentleman responsible for breakfast orders was not communicative at all, no English. Inspite of his good will it was a bit annoying at times and not fully in line with the otherwise very good service.
