Absolute perfection!

It’s location. Beautiful setting by the sea. Our cottage was right by the sea with two lovely terraces. Food was imaginative and cooked well.

Our cottage was less than 100m from the beach bar. We had not been informed about a Saturday night party where the music volume was high and the bass made the doors and windows in our cottage rattle. We were belatedly told that the party was likely to continue until 2am or later. We asked for a change of room and after the third request we were offered a room in an offsite villa. At first, the staff clearly did not take our concerns seriously. This totally spoiled our first afternoon and evening at this expensive property. At the beach next to Jack Sprats cafe there were no sunshades available. This was poor and made the beach virtually impossible to use for any length of time.

Jake's is gorgeous. I've never stayed in my own private seaside bungalow. We went to bed to sunsets over the crashing waves and woke to stunning morning views. The outdoor private shower was also a big plus. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. And each dwelling had it's own unique flair. We'll be back to check out the other ones next time! Amazing location and fantastic rooms. Food at restaurant was great with regularly changing menu.

For the price of the rooms I would have expected breakfast to be included, a la carte breakfast was expensive.

The staff were attentive, the location was authentic, the food was great, overall the experience was very peaceful

Sometimes the hot water didn’t always working

We arrived late in the evening on a public holiday after the restaurant had closed, but we had children and traveled in a large group. The helpful guy at reception (sorry can’t remember his name) spoke to the chief and arranged something for us! He then drove us around to our amazing villa (Tree House). The staff here were also excellent, not in your face, but not stand-offish. Thank you all.

The amenities were a bit scarce, but I’m sure I would have been accommodated if I had asked for more. Also, a mini fridge wouldn’t have gone amiss in the master room.

We like that it was different, and naturalistic, clean and fresh. There wasn't any artificial feeling to the room and we love that. It was a weekend taken back to our roots and culture. Thank you guys. And your staff they are all very happy and welcoming people. 🙏

Not too crowded it's like a hidden gem ✨️ it's a great place to go for a stressed free vacation.

Great and very reasonable Restaurant. Wonderful location and setting. Our cottage was spacious and well appointed. The complex is filled with mature and interesting plantings and trees. The views are unsurpassable. We didn't get a chance to use the spa (reserve as early as possible) but the setting, open to the sea, was magnificent.

The pool was more of a dipping pool than a real pool that could be used for exercise. It was surrounded by a great deal of foliage and debris constantly fell into it. While the foliage and trees on the property were amazing, and the pool was skimmed regularly, it was not particularly inviting to guests who wanted to swim. Kids loved the pool.

We got to stay in a lovely off property villa which was perfect for a family. Nice pool and great rooms and design. next time we will try to book something on property perhaps.

Great location and very friendly staff. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. I really enjoyed my time at Jakes and can't wait to visit again.

The seafront bungalow had truly amazing views! We loved staying right on the water and falling asleep to the sound of the waves. Highly recommend staying in Seapuss 2 (closest room to the water). Jakes has a fun, laid-back vibe. The staff were all super friendly and food was the fastest we’ve experienced on the island!

I live in New York, but born and grew up in Top Hill St Elizabeth as a child I always visit Great Bay just to hang out at the beach there, but hunie staying at Jakes was beyond my expectations, the entire staff was friendly and very helpful, checknin was a breeze. My villa was Sweet Lips it was everything I was looking forward to and more it was clean the mattress was so comfortable I slept like a baby. I love the rustic look of the villas each one individually designed a different way. The breakfast was delicious the callaloo fritters was out the park. We had dinner right next door at Jack Sprat needles to say the food is still exceptionally tasty service was quick. What can I say my overall stay at Jakes was relaxing and so tranquil. My favorite part was at night hearing the waves hitting the cliff. I would definitely recommend and I definitely going back, my family also loved ir.

There was nothing to dislike I was in paradise.
