The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and very well cooked. The room was clean and well equipped, the bed was very comfortable. The locations is excellent, overlooking the sea.
The room was quite small and became very hot. When we asked to change we were told this was only possible if we paid more. The cleaner turned off the bathroom towel rail which helped a bit. At £177 per night I would have expected a bigger room with a more luxurious feel. It would have been nice to have access to a breakfast buffet as well as the cooked options. It was continental OR cooked.

Fabulous location, but then we knew that as we have stayed several times before. We didn't eat there other then breakfast, which was very good.
The sash cords had perished to the windows in our room, so we had to use door wedges and coat hangers to hold the window up enough to let some air in.
The quality of the details like tea tray/biscuits/toiletries has sadly gone backwards from previous stays to more 'cheap and cheerful' which slightly detracts from the premium brand/price point we have enjoyed in the past.

Nice hotel in a great location. Bar was really nice. Breakfast choice and quality were good. And 'free parking'!!
The attatched Indian resturant Sea Spice was very expensive and the food was of poor quality, very bland and pre heated up. Just don't bother.

Good location for middle of Aldeburgh. Plenty of free parking outside. Breakfast was good. Room was good standard.
Felt quite corporate, pictures, piped music and decor quite standard. Lift was quite interesting but off putting and we stuck to the stairs.

Stayed here before and that’s why we came back only one thing wrong wanted to order room service and all I got was an engaged tone in phone we tried for about forty five minutes and gave up . Disappointed about that as it was my friends birthday treat abd wanted to have drinks in room while getting ready for the evening

Very spacious and clean room. Large comfortable bed. Staff very friendly and attentive. Excellent breakfast in terms of choice and products used. Slight problem in that the food wasn't as hot as we'd like. We returned one dish which was resolved. Great location for town and parking available.

Location was great, room was a good size and beds very comfy, breakfast was lovely and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Plug sockets could be in a better location, bedside lamps would be helpful and the bathroom was a bit cold.

This was a return visit to the White Lion Hotel which is a very comfortable hotel overlooking Aldeburgh beach and the sea. The rooms with a sea view are excellent. Friendly staff and very nice breakfast.

There's a restaurant advertised which wasn't open in the evening. There are other places to eat but it could be clearer about opening times and the fact it's an Indian restaurant.

We have stayed here before but now the hotel is more like a B & B. They do not do an evening meal service at the hotel you have to go to the Indian restaurant situated below the hotel or dine out. This may not suit everyone. We saw a notice on the outside door to the bar of the hotel saying the bar was also closed due to some work going on. We went to a nearby pub.
The breakfast seemed to have been prepared sometime before … bacon very well done - sausages dry etc but still tasty.
