This is my second time here and its just as charming in the summer as it is in the winter.

They did not provide dental kits and when asked they said they ran out and had no way of getting it. The morning staff also did not follow up on this.

The location is off the beaten track, it;s small size when compared to many other hotels. I quite liked the sense of the 1950' i.e. not much has changed since then - relaxing

Being a keen gardener the trailing electrical cables should be out of sight, oh and there is always weeding.

Nice Manor, classic English interior.

This is not what you'd expect. Although there is some nice staff, some of them aren't happy to be there nor to serve customers. The value is horrible! We paid £1K for 2 rooms, 1 night for 4p, and it never felt for a second that it was worth that price tag. Not an exclusive experience, not relais and chateaux - trust me.

The staff was amazing and super helpful on where to go, what to do, making suggestions. The food was excellent. The location was great to be able to visit many villages near by and access to the Cotswold Way for hiking. The room we were in needed upgrading and was looking worn, for how much we were paying, I was hoping the rooms would be in better shape, but the country feel of the living spaces were actually charming, the grounds were spectacular and the staff very friendly.

The room was sub standard and worn. It needed freshening up and new wall paper and felt a bit dusty and worn.

The hotel is set in lovely grounds. The interior is pleasantly decorated and comfortable.

The restaurant food quality is good, but the menu is very limited, and disappointingly barely changes from day to day (maybe a change of vegetable, or a slightly different sauce). The plating is poor - the appreciably different sized portions of identical dishes served to the same table would be unacceptable if entertaining formally. If you stay in a room on the ground floor, expect to hear noise from the room(s) above, and hope to have considerate neighbours. This is a good hotel, but for the rates it charges for accommodation and food, it should be exceptional.

Excellent location, quiet, very good food and service. Small boutique hotel gives the great feeling of a private country house. Dinner was impecable and house offerings in between courses appreciated. Friendly service was a plus.

Fire places were not lit throughout / in the morning etc - not giving the warmth of a live place. One fire place in main room was out of order. Perhaps would be a great addition to have a small spa /minimalistic swimming pool

Beautiful surrounding, beautiful manot house, beautiful rooms, beautiful furnishings, beautiful garden and beautiful food. Beautiful.

No milk in the room was the only flaw in an otherwise flawless stay.
