Perfect for what we wanted 😁

The location. It’s close by London Excel where I needed to be for a conference. Great bathroom accessories.

Multiple appliances didn’t work. Housekeeping skipped my room 2 of the 4 days I stayed there. In the middle of the night a lot of noice from fire works and drunken people on the street in front of my room.

Le ravitaillement du plateau café/the ! Cuillère non lavée entre jour 1 et 2 ! Un seul sachet de tisane ou thé noir pour 2 personnes ! Pas de lait !

Locatie ok la aproximativ 10 km de centru. La 5 minute linie METROU. Hotel linistit, restaurant bun, personal amabil.

الموظفون رائعون المكان جميل يطل على النهر بجواره مباشرة محطة القطار والمترو الافطار رائع ومتنوع وعندما علموا أننا مسلمين أعدوا لنا (البيض الاومولت) بديلا للحوم المحرمة .

الأثاث جيد ولكن المكان كله يطغى عليه اللون البني مما يوحي بقدمه ؛فيستحب تغيير لون موكيت الأرضيات لأنه قديم ولمي يعطي بهجة وحيوية.

Rooms were tidy

Poor checking experience, no one to help with multiple bags and no on willing to. Bad customer service. Very, very noisy.

Location and distance from public transport. Friendly professional staff. Fab accommodation, not overlooked.

Slip shower tray, nearly tumbled few times. Aircon temperamental. Sofabed, need a mattrass topper too lumpy for old backs.

Location was great ! Staff was friendly and gave us extra items when we requested it, like coathangers and towels.

Security was rude when we ordered food to eat The pillows were very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. There were unclean spots in the bathroom aswel No plug next to the bed on one sidel

My room was upgraded to what I believe was a "Queen's room". This included a spacious washroom with a shower, as well as plenty of closet space, a small desk area, and the addition of a sofa bed. It was clean, and generally comfortable and the addition of a mini fridge and lockable safe for valuables was especially nice to see. The incredibly close location to the ExCel Centre was also greatly appreciated, with it practically being right on the doorstep!

While there appeared to be an air conditioning dial, there were no instructions on how it worked, and despite having it presumably on and set to the coldest setting, the room still became a little uncomfortably warm even with the window opened as wide as it could be. Had the room been a little cooler with the air conditioning, my stay would have been extremely comfortable with little to no complaints! In terms of cost, while I understand room prices will go up around events such as Comic Con, paying almost £500 for two nights is a little steep, and to have stayed for the full convention weekend of 3 nights would have cost me almost £800, forcing me to find alternative accommodation for one of the nights and meaning I had to travel back and forth quite a distance for the first day or two.

It was super close to the excel and close to the event we were attending at the excel. It had great facilities.

Room was clean and tidy. Comfortable bed.

We were at the back of the hotel. It was extremely noisy with bins being emptied, including bottles being tipped in a skip in the early hours of the morning! We must have been next to a cleaners cupboard as all we could hear was thee as t door banging constantly as the cleaner went back and forth.

The Location was excellent for what we needed.

The hotel was quite disappointing. Our room was not the cleanest and badly in need of a makeover. The reception staff were pleasant, that cannot be said for the bar and restaurant staff. While not rude they were more interested in each other than the residents, everything seemed like hard work. I ordered a pint of larger that came with a label of some sort in it. When I pointed it out the bar tender looked at me and insinuated that I had put it there. He didn't know what to do until a more senior member came over and apologised and poured me a fresh drink. Food was basic and expensive for what we had. Overall I expected much better.

Good location. Friendly staff

The temperature of the room was set very high at 26.7 by the management. The air conditioner in any rooms was not working properly. In fact, we had to change 3 rooms to find a slightly more comfortable cool room. When we got the maintenance guy to look at it, his only solution was to keep the windows open and use a table fan.

I liked my room, it was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

I was told my upgrade would cost £11 that I would pay on-site yet this was more expensive when I arrived. Even with an upgrade, I had an obscured view. When I first arrived the TV didn't work also.

Roma were too warm. Bad for the environment if all rooms are too warm.

Close to the Elizabeth line, close to excel, clean, staff were polite. Novotel quality.

Housekeeping was really not good. The general standard of cleanliness in the room was poor. The "stone" basin in the bathroom was not clean (and did not drain well), and half-finished coffee cups were not washed; they were simply ignored. Spills and crumbs in the coffee and tea-making area were also not cleaned and we found some left-behind food in the fridge from a previous guest as well. Breakfast was a mixed bag and certainly not worth the £24 charge - low-quality food, tough pancakes and cold eggs is simply not good enough in a 4-star The reception staff seemed harassed and not very customer focussed or friendly.

The location

The room was really hot, when maintenance came to the room he advised that we couldn’t lower the heat less than 23 degrees, it was hotel policy. That’s way too hot to have a comfortable night sleep, we all woke up both mornings having g not slept, stuffy headaches and exhausted The rain fall shower head didn’t work properly either, it was caked in limescale and the water didn’t come through most of the spouts

car parking very cramped and expensive at breakfast they had a juice station with a sign saying ‘taste the freshness’ - the orange juice was neither fresh nor orange - when i complained i was then brought an orange ‘drink’ - apparently my complaint will be forwarded to management (not)

Location

The shower did not work in our room. We didn’t have much time to get ready and the response to our reporting this was very slow. Slow to pick up the phone. Also. There is no room service after 10pm and there were only 2 items on the menu to choose from anyway. The hotel looks and feels like quality but imo the service is lagging behind. Did ask to be upgraded if possible for the shower hassle but was told no. No manager available until next day. I didn’t hear from the Manager. I don’t think I would return based on the service levels. Shame as I said it could be a lot better.

Fast check in, perfect location for excel conference

Gym was poorly equipped and the sauna wasn’t good. Breakfast was very average, selection ok but felt like premier inn style rather than a step up

Die Nähe zum Underground ist man schnell im Zentrum. Die Zimmer sind schon ruhig

Das Zimmer ist sehr abgewohnt, für DIESEN Preis wäre eine Renovierung notwendig. Die Matratze ist nicht gerade die Sauberste. Der Abfluss in der Dusche zum Teil verstopft, man steht beim Duschen in der Pfütze.

Good standard and modern rooms.

Late arrival and the restaurant had stopped serving by 5 minutes. No flexibility on this but told to use the room service. Called room service but told no room service dining at all. I was suggested to order an Uber eats or Deliveroo which I had to in the end. Not an acceptable standard for a business traveller hotel, which this is aimed at.

Room was lovely. Lovely hotel. Be warned they charge you £2.00 to bring your drinks to the table. Other than that this hotel is idea for visiting the Excel.

No USB-C charging points in room

I recently had a delightful stay at the Novotel Hotel near London ExCeL. The hotel’s prime location is perfect for anyone attending events or conferences at the ExCeL, as it’s just a short walk away. Additionally, it’s well-connected to public transport, making it easy to explore central London. The room was spacious, and equipped with all the modern amenities I needed, including a comfortable bed and a fantastic view of the docklands. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any request. The check-in process was seamless, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was warm and inviting. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of both hot and cold options, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. If you’re seeking convenience, comfort, and excellent service in the London Docklands area, I highly recommend Novotel London ExCeL. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to London!

I liked the external view from my room. The bed and pillows were comfortable I liked the fact that my room had a fridge Upgrading me to an executive room came as a pleasant surprise. Thank you!

As a sexagenarian, I didn’t like the fact that there was no access into the car park from within the hotel and one had to exit the building to get into the car park.

Breakfast

Room was far to hot and aircon did not work, waking me up at 2am with no means to cool the room down and open the window - the hotel is next to London city airport which meant any chance of a lie in was not an option with the window open!

Great location if you need to attend an event in ExCeL London. I also liked the fact that is closed to the docks and it provides a more "summer" feeling to your stay. Ideal if you need to be close to East London
