Food and clean room

Closed bank holiday evening. Place was looking very tired.

The evening meal was very good, and the staff were very friendly

we thought the cost of the room was too expensive, the pub next door offered bed and breakfast for less and had a lot more style. The main door to the accommodation building banged every time someone came In or out and echoed around the building

The location was extremely handy as we were visiting the showground and the bar food was excellent and good value.

The beds in our room felt a little lumpy and in need of new mattresses, there was a draft from the window over one of the twin beds so we had to move the bed away from the window. There was a beam in Room 6 which for my boyfriend who is six foot we had to keep remembering for him to duck. All of the other beams in the hallway to to room were marked. Bit of a disturbance during the night but the property can't be blamed for other guests being inconsiderate, arguing and slamming doors.

waited 1 and half hours for rubbish food on the first night.Karoake Saturday night impossible to get any rest in any room.We were directly above.It continued after midnight and when we complained my husband was assaulted.This is now a Police matter.DO NOT STAY HERE !!

Clean room including bathroom

Arrived just after 6pm,told by staff,premises closing at 7pm to clean bar pipes,nowhere in town open to get dinner.

The room was clean, tidy and comfortable, and facilities were good in the room.

The room was on a top floor above the bar, The stairs from the carpark were very steep and there was no mention of this. The bathroom window literally had a towel either holding it in or stopping the draft. We book to stay in pubs as we enjoy the hospitality, and to sit in the bar and have a drink and a meal in the evening. The internet said the pub was open until 11 and food had a varied menu On arrival we were told it was carvery only until 5pm and the bar closed at 7pm. This was never conveyed to us before hand . This was extremely disappointing. It was also clear that there was nucleus of drinkers near the bar and the language for a "family" pub was unacceptable. The internet says that the pub was 0.4 miles from the town centre, which we felt was walkable into town. It was clearly over one mile on a very busy road. This needs amending. Overall the room was comfortable but the rest of it was disappointing.

shocked to find out there was no breakfast despite it stating otherwise on booking.com and also there own website. I have to have breakfast in the morning due to medical condition so this was not a great outcome.

There was not breakfast on z Monday morning. Sunday lunch very good, hot and plentiful

Room needs a new bed. Shower dripping all night. Need a new shower curtain, brown and stained at bottom on a white shower curtain. Put me off having a shower.

Working there.The staff really enjoyed. Playing music, getting up & singing and dancing. Also involved the people that were staying there. Good fun.

lovely friendly staff

The food was excellent both evening and morning. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the cost was reasonable both in terms of the food and bar prices. Car parking was good although at night the site was visited by several cars until 2 am along with the associated noise outside the bar area.

The staff were amazing and really friendly. Whilst the decor was maybe a little tired, it was charming in it's own way :) Bed was super comfy and the food was nice. There was a slight issue with food delays but they resolved and offered a refund on that meal before we could even mention it (and it was so minor we probably wouldn't have mentioned it anyway).

Veggie breakfast and the coffee were all good
