It's a few minutes walk to the rail station, or a £20 Uber into the city.
When we arrived we were waiting to check in and overheard the facilities guy telling the receptionist not to let anyone in the room as the door was broken. We decided to head into the city to give them time to repair it, so didn't have time to rest after the drive down.
The room was booked as a double room with two double beds - they pushed the bed right up to the wall to get a camp bed on the floor. Apparently, I turned over in the night and headbutted the light fitting, which was now overhanding the pillow. The mattress itself might have been older than the building - when you laid on it there was a definite dip in the middle that you rolled towards. The room itself was clean but very dated.
Breakfast was a couple of lukewarm eggs, 2 slices of stale bread, an apple, a yoghurt, butter, a random preserve in a plastic pot, and a greasy croissant in a bag. It came with a plastic knife and fork, so you couldn't eat the yoghurt or open the eggs - and there was no plate, just the bags they came in. We ended up going to Mcdonald's instead.
Some of the staff were quite rude - when I went to ask about breakfast the receptionist didn't greet me and just stared at me then reached under the counter to produce a single greasy bag and placed it on the counter without saying a word. There were 3 of us in the room - so I had to ask for two more. He sighed and pulled two more bags from under the counter. The keycard also stopped working on two occasions - when I took it back to reception the second time it seemed apparent that it was a chore for them to magnetise it for me. I was told it was my fault for leaving the card next to my phone - despite the fact that the card was in my RFID wallet and in a completely different pocket to my phone.
We booked in for two nights with the intention of driving back early after the second night, but due to a lack of comfort in the room, we opted to leave a night early and return home.

Cheap rooms. Handy location.
No breakfasts. No food. Apparently the kitchen is closed Rooms ridiculously small. Bodge jobs everywhere. Electric sockets badly installed. Dodgy cables hanging out of the walls. Holes in the carpet covered by random bits of carpet which were nailed down! Beds small and very uncomfortable. Noisy guests, sometimes shouting and screaming in the corridor.

Close to the rail station. Easy to connect to anywhere in the east of London.
I have to activate the door card or keys anytime I return to the hotel.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable and the breakfast was awesome. The staff were nice and helpful, location near the Elizabeth line was good. Everything worked really great.
You could hear voices from the hallway really clearly, so that was a bit disturbing during the nights.

The breakfast was acceptable.
The bedroom, bed linen, the size of the bathroom were appalling!

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially one lady on the reception desk she was lovely. The bed was comfortable and I slept ok, cant really complain for the price. It was close to Ilford station and easy to get the Elizabeth line into central london quickly.
There were people shouting at 12am in the corridor which was outside like a row of flats and this woke me up. The room I stayed in was slightly cold and the door was a bit dodgy and made me feel slightly unsafe. The room was basic cleaned but could’ve been better and the decor is slightly outdated, some things need repairing. However, it was cheap and would be good for a one night stay.

in a very convenient place. Simple and value for money
The room we were first put in had a very bad smell, but much to the credit of the staff, they moved us soon as we requested.

The room was big and accommodating

the executive suite is situated away from the main building so that extra privacy was nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is located closely to a train station.
The room had an unpleasant odour. The bed linen also smelt unclean. Room very dated and quite a lot of damaged items.

- Breakfast was generous
- Some members of the staff actually tried to help us.
- In room tea, coffee
My WORST hotel experience in 15 years! Following is a short list:
- DECEPTION: They show you one thing in pictures and give you another. We had booked the biggest family room 3 weeks in advance and when we got there late at midnight with one toddler and one baby after an air flight, they had not reserved it and put us in a small room. The staff was full of excuses as to why they hadn't reserved the room for us.
- RUDE, Incompetent, careless, clueless staff
- OLD broken bathrooms, lights not working, fans not working, broken toilet seat, old toilets, showers
- NO ELEVATOR, and no step-free access which made it very difficult for us with two strollers and luggage coming from abroad
- DIRTY carpets, sofas
- ANTS in the room
- WARM rooms with little ventilation and no air-conditioning, difficult to be comfortable in 23+ temperatures
- UNSAFE: At midnight some people knocked at our windows and we saw teenagers jumping in/out of room windows to outside, streets
