The Hotel is nice but the staff is rude and the manager acted completely wrong. He lied to us about many things and one day he said that we could not go out cause the rain. I cannot understand how he got that job. Do not go to this HOTEL!!!!!

The access to the beach was good. Lots of pool choices. Better for families as the hotel is clearly designed towards families with lots of kids events and areas.

The beach was under day and night construction with large and loud construction machinery and ships pumping sand 24/7. This was despite the hotel telling us in advance it would not be. Rude and combative front desk manager. He was sarcastic, condescending and rude to my wife as we were leaving for simply and politely asking what an unexplained charge was. He instantly apologised when we expressed shock and displeasure with his way of talking which suggests he knew his wrong, but a hotel shouldn't be managed by someone who works dictated by their mood.

Beautiful private beach. Swimming pools were clean and grounds perfectly maintained. Breakfast was also of a good quality. Staff spoke enough English and were very helpful.

Rooms felt a little worn and dated for the price although clean. Room service was a little slow and staff were difficult about us requesting food poolside.

it’s beautiful and quite big, even though it’s old and for those who’s seeking to chill is not the best option either. very family place. we got free upgrade to family room with huge bathtub and amazing view.

the breakfast buffet had good Chinese and western food but it gets very noise inside. always tried to get a table outside to reduce this stress factor. „ocean view“ rooms can have no ocean view like ours, hotel says it’s just ocean side… long waiting times at the reception and 45min for a club sandwich.

Dinner menu, personals and pizza was terrible!!!! We waited pizza margarita 55 min!!! and when they bring it, pizza was with ice cold tomatoes and super poor cheese! It incredible, how could hotel 5 star cooked freeze pizza 55 min! pizza taste was like a fast food! we are suuuuper disappointed! (best pizza at hotel next hotel;)

Yalong bay is the best beach in Sanya south area. Personnel at breakfast was kind and friendly. Building is nice and rooms are spacious.

When we arrived they told us there was just room booked for us instead than two. Then they said I had to pay, despite I prepaid. Finally, after almost one hour at 15.40, they told rooms were not ready... Despite I communicated I was arriving at 14.00. When the other couple of friends arrived for the same booking, they made the same scene. Facility is old and not well maintained. Breakfast is substantially below normal standard, messy and low quality. Water in the swimming pool was not clean enough. Air conditioning in the room was super noisy and never reached the desired temperature. Bed was very uncomfortable. I barely slept all the three nights.

Yalong bay is nice location. But the Marriott just next to the Hilton seems much nicer.

We chose this hotel specifically for the beachfront room. But when we arrived, although we booked this room, they told us that they no longer had a corresponding room. Instead, they offer us a family suite, with half the space dedicated to children, while we have no children... Apparently they didn’t have anymore classic suites. Then they offer us a room in the beachfront building, but with a defective AC… Finally, we had to spend nearly 2 hours on the phone with Booking to modify our reservation, for a cheaper regular room without a view by the sea. In the end, we didn't understand because when we arrived in our room... it was a classic suite. In addition, the staff calls us several times, because they forgot to finish our check-in, although we have already spent 2 hours at the reception. So much time wasted. In addition, the big swimming pool was closed and we were not allow to have breakfast on the terrace.

We requested a king seaview and paid extra money (100 dollars) but it wasn’t really a seaview- it was pretty far away from the sea and more like a swimming pool view! Room number 5306.

Outdated rooms.

Nice location, with good choice of eating location at the resort. Such as the beach, poolside and within the hotel. Get the reception staff on WeChat and asked to be notified on benefits, events and things to do will make your stay much more enjoyable. Also the beachside BBQ is the hotels best offering for dinner nights (3 times a week) and it is the most expensive. The hotpot nights for dinner should be avoided during the summer, instead spend your money at the other resorts dinner offerings.

Could do better with evening family friendly activities in the hotel and or the the beach and poolside, which the neighbouring hotel resorts offered. There was plenty of options for breakfast and dinner but they were highly Chinese orientated. The western options could be better.

Taken into account that the hotel is an international hotel the number of English speaking staff is very limited.

Lots of pools to choose from. Room with ocean view was lovely. The beach access was convenient.

Check in took about 20 minutes as there was a long line and only one person checking in guests. The breakfast area got so crowded after the first 45 minutes that there was a line up the staircase just to get a seat. The price of the food was very high for the average quality. The pool water was so warm that it wasn’t refreshing in the July heat.

The location of the hotel is amazing. Its right on Yalong bay which is the best beach in Sanya. Great property with lots of trees and amazing swimming pools. We really enjoyed the spacious rooms and the mattress in the room is awesome. The evening buffet and bbq is also nice with the live band.

Imagine walking into the western restaurant and none of the staff speaks English. It took us 10 minutes to get just salt and pepper. Western restaurant needs to be upgraded with better food and more professional staff.

Room was comfortable enough and spacious, breakfast food was fine and the staff in that particular restaurant were working very hard indeed! Beach is gorgeous!

Service was just OK for the most part, except at the pool bar where it was poor and there were very few of the menu choices on offer. Rooms were not cleaned properly every day, there is no English TV channels and so take your own viewing options and there is very little restaurant choice in the hotel, beyond the buffet type set up. But the biggest downer is the heat of the pool water - it is way too hot all day and just not comfortable for a beach resort in summer.

Beach is nice Pools are good and room is big.

A lot for that over prized place. pool has no shadow places at all. there are just two pavillions in a mellow pool corner which are protecting you from sun. means they were always overcrowded. Neither at outdoor playground are shadow places. the entire outdoor area has really few shadow spots to lay. pool areas are really big but therefor no garden area to relax. Not enough sun beds for hotel guests. at beach area even worst. Photographers who can be hired are blocking these few as well. No soft covers for sun beds at beach. I wouldn´t complain about these. But if you compare Hilton with Marriot, which is just next door. Marriott has plenty of sun beds and all are covered with soft matresses. We stayed last time at Marriott and there is a beautiful huge garden area with hammocks, plenty shadow places as well at pool areas. Service was horrible at Hilton. Breakfast you didn´t feel welcome at all. Staff was not present and if you found someone you asked sth for they pretended to not understand. even if you asked in chinese. My wife speaks good chinese and asked for fork and knife and we got two spoons. Tables are set up horrible. No pepper, salt, no forks and knifes. If you ask for salt and pepper you get a disgusting dirty mill. we never got offered plates and cups for children. Breakfast selection is as well for that price really bad. no coconut milk for example in a place where are coconuts growing on every palm. Rooms are big with two basins. One at toilet area and one at bath area. If you come from toilet you can wash your hands straight away. But we never had soap there just towels to dry hands. Means why you have a basin? Sorry guys you suppose to be a 5 star hotel and even in China you could take care more of the details. Will recommend to everyone i know the Marriott as it´s just nicer and they renovated all there rooms and it is even cheaper.

My family enjoyed the resort stay. The pools are clean. The facilities are managed well. The private beach was good. The food options are plenty. For the 4 day stay, we did not feel like getting out of the resort.

The sea water at the private beach is a little unclean. I feel that the resort and tourist must exercise good garbage disposal practices. I found bottles, rags, plastics near the shore.

It is compact, pools are enough, beach was ok.

The access to the beach. Very good with small kid (4YO), balancing time between safe pool and beach. Not far from restaurant street (10mn walking) or Outlets shop (10rmb per taxi). Several free shuttle per day to go to Free Tax Shop.

The best thing about Hilton is their beach and sea.

You can feel the level of costumer care from the welcome experience. Nobody care about anything. They have horrible food, sucks service and incredibly overpriced as they know they have nice beach.I m a gold member of Hilton, and I can say that it’s worst Hilton that we ever stayed. For example, we called to make the reservation in spa, they confirmed that we can come for body massage at 18:00, we came there but nobody was waiting for us. They let us stay in room with broken conditioner for 50 mins. Then we asked the receptionist what’s wrong, when staff will come to do the massage. She called to mobile of this girls front of us, ladies told her that they are eating and they don’t care that clients waiting for them. So we wasted one hour of our time in hot room waiting for people that never came to us. Then receptionist told us to don’t swim in the pool in spa area as they didn’t clean it for long time. They also didn’t had hot water! Service is super bad! We check out and went to Shangri-la, they are cheaper but they have foreign GM and you can see it in everything: food, service, treatment, buffet and etc. we also went to check Spa, one of the best experience.
