The 4 bed dorm was great, and the hostel is located close to a bus stop for the free bus around town. Very spacious common area.

The entire building smelled a bit damp, but that's probably hard to avoid with all the rain in Manchester

The freight train noise at 2am was not ideal! Nothing to do with the hostel itself though.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the location. You can walk to many attractions, including the Exhibition Center, where I went to work. I liked the friendly service and the breakfast, which was basic and reasonably priced. Thanks

he bed was comfortable, but I would have preferred it to have a curtain over the bed. The shower was good, but it wet the entire toilet and there was no mat to dry your feet. On the day I went there was a concert in the courtyard next door. The window did not block the sound. Luckily, the music was good.

The building is modern, the location (castlefield) is fantastic, the staff is helpful.

Was a decent stay. Nothing extraordinary. Was a good location but atleast a 20 minute walk to anywhere. Bus station and train station were both 30 minute walk away

Pub crawl was cancelled, meaning I met no one else other than my room mates. Kitchen is a little ran down aswell

The location was fantastic, it was a lovely atmosphere inside and excellent value for money. Staff were helpful and let us park the car earlier than out check in time. Breakfast was great value for money all in all a great stay 😀

the bathroom is really small and you have the mirror on the side. difficult to shave. the little shelf near the bed is really dangerous if you hit your head on it (It happened to me during the night) Check-out really early

The room was well above my expectation. It was clean & fresh. The receptionist was welcome, friendly & Professional. I highly recommend the YHA Manchester and would definitely stay her again.

It's in a great location! A walking distance to everything you may need on a trip with friends! The communal area was absolutely lovely, very neat with great aesthetics. There's also a bar and I can't praise the bar man enough. He was very kind to us and served us and another group after the bar closed. The room was clean and spacious enough for a group of 4!

The little step into the bathroom became a little hazard in the dark but it's not a massive problem!

Situated in the prettiest spot we found in Manchester! Redefined everything I thought about Youth Hostels. Clean, excellent facilities and very safe!
