I stayed for work, the staff were really friendly and helpful on the reception desk and in the bar. The hotel had recently come under new management. Great price and they offered use of the spa and gym at no extra cost. The menu looked lovely and at a really cheap price, however due to arriving in the evening and leaving early I did not have time to order lunch or dinner. The drinks in the bar were also really cheap. If I had bought my gym wear and swim wear I would have used it.
I would have like a full length mirror in the bedroom and a desk/dresser to work on my laptop with.

It was clean and quiet
No staff in the bar or reception. Room, mattress lumpy, bathroom floor moved when walked on, loo roll holder falling off wall, bathroom no hook for shower attachment, no shower curtain or screen, really hard to shower in. Window would only open full, wouldn't stay slightly ajar. Large gap under bedroom door.

Rude staff. Dirty, false advertisement, no free Wi-Fi, room we booked wasn’t the one we ended up staying in. All rooms advertised online are not the rooms in there. Dirty, dated and damaged rooms.

The shower fell on me, the shower screen had no sealer, the spa changing room was poor and very rusty radiators, with sauna out of action - no restaurant serving food

Price and location to wedding venue
Previous reviews concerned me massively
However some of these were found to be true! Curtains hanging off the rail so was woken as soon as light outside. Smell in the room, not very clean such as door handles, window handles, the remote for tv (that wasn't even tuned it to anything) the mugs were sticky and dirty.
Shower head wasn't attached to wall, bathroom taps when you run them screech and hot water is boiling too hot to use within seconds.
We literally dropped bags off at 7pm checked bedding was clean to be sure we felt confident to stay left again at 7:30pm to return to a wedding and returned back to hotel at 12am leaving at 8am to head home - purely down to not wanting to use shower, toilet or stay in property longer than needed.

The bedding was dirty, bathroom on poor condition (cracked floor and broken bath panel) and there was the previous guests vomit all down the toilet. The curtains were hanging off and i had to close them with a hair grip. Tv did not work, when reported to reception was told there was nothing they could do.no hairdryer. Unable to eat as restaurant closed, and to top it off, there was no draught drinks. Im still awaiting a refund for the second night that i cancelled a week prior to arriving. In all honesty the hotel should be ashamed of selling theses rooms.

bathroom door had a hole that had tried to filled which was done badly, curtains stained, walls needed to be repainted. whilst clean it felt neglected.

The room was dirty with broken fittings no toilet roll sticky bathroom floor the room was cold and the heating was not working no plug for the sink and seemed to have a problem with water flow

A full English breakfast was available for about 6 pounds, 5 pounds if you prefer the Continental version. We tried both and they were actually very good, I particularly loved the freshly brewed coffee! We met a young gentleman 'Jay' who was extremely polite and helpful on all accounts. Access to a fully equipped gym was fantastic, not to mention the annexed Pub. The whole stay was generally quiet, enjoyable and restful. Transport links in Eastchurch are a little difficult - so the takeaway leaflets at the reception desk came in handy. The 'Eastchurchians' are really, really lovely, kind and friendly - we had a great time there!
Public transport? Even taxis can be super-hard to come by ...grab all the taxi numbers you can find and book your taxi well in advance!

Everything was shut the bar was shut the restaurant was shut and there was nowhere local to get food so we had to get a cab and it cost me more money

Got an auto £5 discount from an already bargain £45 on booking.com. Ample parking you just give your reg at reception. Quick and simple booking in. Single room is small but it’s all I needed, nice en-suite with bath/shower which was quick to heat. Nice big cost cutter shop directly across the road, the bar was shut but the pub across the road looked nice and was busy..
Had a small tv the size of my iPad Pro. I get it, it’s a small room and it’s fitted to half the wardrobe so it’s saving storage space on the other half. The room is an L shape so you have to sit in the bed to watch it with a desk and chair around the bend.

we’re to start, how is this hotel even open for business, on approach dustbin bags by the main entrance, and complaining customers, with a fed up receptionist, floor hadn’t been hoovered I’d say for about a year, I thought I was outside it’s that dirty, hallway smelt rotten, got to room and a towel covering the floor nearly fell down it, they covered a whole in the floor with a towel, this hotel should be on tv it’s that bad, I’m disgusted and this is why I won’t be using booking.com no more because you allow this on your website robbing peoples hard earned money disgusting!

The bed was too soft and not straight had to use a lot of pillows to prop myself up. May benefit other guests to have better sleep if the mattress/bed can be a bit firmer
