Great location and great staff

Great breakfast, knowledgeable and helpful staff

the staff made us feel very welcome, and the house dog made our dog feel very welcome, which was a big bonus! the breakfast was ample, in a beautiful and very spacious dining room

should have brought my eye mask as the Christmas decoration outside the window shone brightly all night. But it did make the hotel look very festive, so it's not a complaint

The breakfast was fabulous, I loved it. The room was nice, basic but comfortable; bed very good. Shower was great. Really good base for trips from Engelberg.

I wish there was a kettle in the room - "hot" water available on 1st floor was not hot so could not make tea whenever I liked. I also think it was on the expensive side, but it was a Saturday night after all!

the location is awesome - right at the center of town. the stuff very welcoming and friendly. welcome drink was a nice touch! the room was clean and comfortable and had all I needed.

slightly pricey for me... but that's Engelberg, I guess.

Great atmosphere, the family that runs the hotel was very welcoming (especially to via Alpina through-hikers like myself). A very quiet and clean room, refreshing welcome drink. They will even wash sport clothing (look for the laundry basket under the stairs). Amazing breakfast. Chill atmosphere, with a reading nook, piano. I would absolutely stay here again.

Everything met or exceeded my expectations.

Parking is always for a fee, choices in the restaurant could be better.
