Great location, easy parking, warm room and comfortable bed. The shared lounge area was a nice spot to chill in.
Call a week out from the booking being told I needed a credit card on file per person to keep the booking. This wasn't possible because my wife and I share a credit card. Tried discussing but the call was quite unfriendly and made me feel unwelcome.
During check in there wasn't an issue so it seems it was just a one-off bad call but it honestly made me really worried about how the stay was going to go. All worked out fine but was unnecessary stress.

Ich war insgesamt 2x da, einmal für 3 Nächte, einmal für 2. Das Motel liegt günstig, es ist ein 15 bis 20 Minuten Spaziergang ins Stadtzentrum, 3 Minuten mit dem Auto. Die Mt. Ruapehu Road führt direkt am Motel vorbei, wenn man möchte bekommt man Wandertips. Die Zimmer waren bequem und sauber. Ich hatte Zimmer mit eigener Dusche und WC. Die Küche war zur gemeinschaftliche Nutzung, top sauber. Auf dem Zimmer gab es einen Wasserkocher zum Kaffee oder Tee kochen.
Parkplatz war ohne Extrakosten dabei. Für Waschmaschine und Wächetrockner musste etwas bezahlt werden, 2 oder 3 NZD, war nicht die Welt...
Mir hat es gefallen, wenn ich noch einmal Gelegenheit bekomme nach Neuseeland zu fahren würde ich wieder dort wohnen wollen...

20 min walk to the main town shops, but 5 min walk to the pub in the other direction was good.

Room was comfortable with decent sized fridge and access to the shared kitchen and living area. Everything was very clean and tidy. Would happily stay again.
Great being so close to the mountain road and walking distance to a few great restaurants.

Pillows. Very flat. Also not enough. There were 4 of us in the room and only 4 pillows. If we had thought earlier (before going to bed) probs could have asked at reception but by time we were calling it a night reception was closed.
More pillows in room would have been good.

Two of the beds were comfy. The motel was in a great location.
The third (single) bed had a HUGE sag in the middle, very uncomfortable. Only two towels replaced while we were out. No salt in salt shaker. Toilet paper ran out and room was cold despite two wall heaters. Coffee and milk not replenished.

The room, bathroom and kitchen were very clean and immaculate. The staff were friendly and helpful. This was our second stay and we plan to return.
The only challenge was the windows that would swing open fully rather than being able to have them half open - but that is pretty minor issue overall.

The service was great and the room very comfortable. It had all we needed, including our own pots, crockery and cutlery. We had all we needed at a very good price.
The pillows were a bit hard
