The location was ideal. Traffic noise was not an issue

Good location and price
It has been poorly renovated, I found a few dirty things in the room such as a poppy bin on the door and dead bugs behind the door and on the Window in the bathroom, also did like the fact the room was a joining room either having a young family yes it was locked just didn’t feel comfortable.

The room was a great size, with a large bathroom and probably the biggest TV I have seen in a hotel/motel room.
The bed was comfortable and I had a restful sleep despite some "hoons" in Cobra Street.
The room air conditioning control didn't seem to operate correctly. The Reception was closed at 8:10am when I went to check-out despite opening hours being 8am to 9pm, and when queried with staff, I was advised that I could "Express Checkout" and a Tax Invoice would be emailed to me later in the day. However, unbeknown to me, as my email address was not on record or requested when I checked-in, I had to make a follow up call the next day.

The owner of the property called to say they had some problems and we couldn’t stay there. He booked us into another motel and then messaged later to say they had double booked. He then booked us into another motel which was which was $50 cheaper but we were charged the original price. I contacted booking.com who said I needed a receipt. I contacted the motel where we stayed and they said they hadn’t received the details from The Palms Dubbo. I have rang and messaged them and they still haven’t done anything about it. They said this was the price set by booking.com.

We were told - after phoning to make sure - we would have a family suite with 2 bedrooms in it...but we ended up with 2 family rooms - double the cost. My room was near a main road and very noisy and the furnishings are tired.
