Wonderful property. Comfortable, spacious room, full of character. Superb evening meal and excellent breakfast. Helpful, friendly staff.

Great to sleep in a place that felt like a private museum of local arts and relics. Big toilet. Great breakfast.

The breakfast was wonderful. There was a variety to pick from and at the end of it, we were satisfied. And the personnel serving was friendly and helpful.
I would suggest that the management needs to consider asking the guests where they would like to have their breakfast. I would have liked the possibility of having the breakfast at the comfort of my room, and not having to go to the restaurant.

It’s an oasis of beautiful gardens with very spacious and comfortable rooms and a great pool. But what struck us the most is the level of service and kindness we received from everyone. It’s beyond anything we have experienced on the coast.
Water pressure in the bathroom can use a bit of an upgrade. Because it’s away from the beach, lunch and breakfast at the restaurant can be too hot. But this is not a déterrant

A super nice small hotel that only has 8 rooms! It is very nicely surrounded by coconut trees and and other trees and flowers! It is very quiet during the day and you can relax by the pool! The beach is only a 10 to 15 minute walk away

The ambience and environment just kills you. Lovely is an understatement. If you have an eye that loves a cool, sweet and beautiful place, African home is the place. It is right in the middle of the leafy suburbs of Malindi, stress free, just the wheezing sound of the trees. The swimming pool is fairly warm even when it was getting cold. The staff are very friendly and the owner is right there to ensure your comfort and peace of mind. If I get another opportunity, I would go back there anytime without blinking.
The beach is about 15minutes away walking. That walking can be good for exercise.

Less crowded and the serenity of the environment was superb.
House keepers and other workers too were amazing
well, as per it’s name, it completely illuminates it. I loved it
