Hospitality was tops, extremely attentive hosts, breakfast by budding chefs, near train station

Hosts we're wonderfully accommodating - had our room ready early for us after we asked if we could drop off luggage earlier than check in. The room was gorgeous - stylishly decorated and very comfortable. Breakfast had a varied choice and was very tasty! Would definitely recommend

There was a very good choice of cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt to start with in the lovely breakfast room. This was followed by our choice of poached eggs and fresh warm toast! The room we stayed in was very comfortable and quiet and the location of the Cowrie was within walking distance of the train station. Excellent hospitality and service with a very high standard of breakfast for a B&B at this price.

The room was immaculate and well furnished, it all looked new. The hosts were exceptionally helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The guest house was centrally located close to the town centre.

Parking was in a car park approximately 400yards away.

We have just had a lovely two night stay at The Cowrie and could not fault it. Ian and Ruth made us really welcome . Our room was clean and spacious and breakfast was excellent. The B & B is ideally situated to walk into the centre and also the city walls and coastal path. Would definitely stay again.

Excellently ran by a lovely couple. Amazing area with plenty of interesting things to do during the day and lovely restaurants hars and cafe. A real historical and cultural gem which I am definitely coming back to.

Excellent location, very close to the station and a short walk to the heart of town. Ian and Ruth are friendly and very helpful. Delicious breakfast. I visited Bamburgh and Holy Island, both readily accessible.
