The location around the hotel didn't feel safe to walk

Very nice, very clean, modern hotel. Good sized room and good shower room. Lovely, helpful staff. Great breakfast which was excellent value for money and nice breakfast restaurant area. Good vending machine. Close to the main train station with nearby supermarkets and restaurants. Walking distance into the centre - 20 - 25 mins. Good access to buses at the station. Free WiFi. Good place.

Only one English speaking channel on the TV (Sky News International). Immediate surroundings not pretty (but still good location if slightly outside the town centre). Online check-in on a fixed screen in the foyer was fiddly and we needed to call a member of staff to help out in the end, who was friendly and everything with the code system worked well after that. Could've done with an extra pillow but I'm sure the attentive staff would've helped if we'd asked (I was too busy to remember to ask during the day!)

Bed was comfortable. Nothing else to like.

The room was very small and had no fridge. Bathroom was so small that you can't even stretch your arms. We were charged 15 Euros for a 1-hour early check-in even though the room was ready. Cold water was only available through vending machine. Every time we had to go downstairs for getting something cold to drink. When asked for ice at Reception, they simply said no. I booked this one because it was closer to my destination. Breakfast was cold and had only hot boiled eggs and coffee. This hotel can only be preferred where you just want to sleep and carry-on with your journey.

Short walk from the train station, staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

- expensive breakfast, not the right value for what is presented: 10.5€ - no maintenance, elevator always broken, this is not the first time in which I had to carry my luggage on the stairs - rude behaviour from the desk staff, knocking on doors at 12:00 sharp asking you to checkout, I guess this has nothing to do with applying rules, this is very rude behaviour, knowing that for the past 7 years I stay there 4 , 5 times a year and it wasn’t like that. the value now has increased to be the same or very close from other 4* hotels in the city. - cleaning the room stops on the toilet.

Discriminatory, borderline rude, inconsiderate, impatient staff poor organisation, and management made a switch for hours outside before receiving rooms. Claimed there are no spare rooms even though we booked in advance and there were no cars or people were anywhere to be seen. No customer service or any Gastfreundschaftlichkeit! very limited facilities: no kettle, no fridge in the poorly lit rooms. No water provided breakfast very expensive but very poor limited choices and bad quality.

The location is good, just a 10 minute walk to city centre. Free parking. Mattress was comfortable (but pillows were very thin and had to be folded to be usable). Room heating system is very effective.

We arrived at 18:00 and the car park was full. We were told to double park and block another car. In the end, we parked on the grass. Breakfast is expensive and very limited; no croissants or pastries for example. Only one elevator which gets blocked in the morning when everyone is leaving and getting breakfast.

From 29 of August to 11 September I stayed there in 2 occasions - in the first the staff were so polite and excused for the broken elevator and said will be fixed in the first 2 days. It wasn't for 4 days - stay 2 was from 10 to 11 September and I came back late at 23h with 2 heavy bags each one of us and I had to take them to forth floor ended up with a back pain!!! I usually stay here 3 to 4 times a year minimum. With this bad experience and price level which is close to the rest in Monchengladbach, I'm not sure if I'll come back.

elevator problem when you ask some of the employee what happend to the elevator they get attitude but some of them will tell you the true that it may take couple days to fixed the stupid elevator.
