Very friendly accommodation, nice staff, good breakfast.

The perfect balance of professional and smart but also friendly and personal. All of the staff (many of them family I assume) were always smiling and willing to help in anyway. I felt very welcome and looked after. The breakfast was plentiful and set me up for a day of skiing. I was able to leave my bag stored and take a shower in the afternoon after checking out, which was a real bonus and made my onward journey much more enjoyable. The majority of guests were Austrian, which I think is a good sign - the locals know it is a good no-nonsense hotel! The room was also very large with a good balcony overlooking the slopes. Festkoglbahn gondola (to top of Obergurgl ski area) is a 60 second walk away, as is the bus stop with very frequent services to the Solden ski area (20 mins on bus) and onwards to Otztal for train connection in Innsbruck etc. (90 mins). Very convenient. Bus is included in ski pass. Overall a fantastic stay, I will be staying again when back in Obergurgl.

The bed/pillow wasn’t the comfiest, but that could be my personal preference. I prefer firm pillows/mattress.

Good breakfast. Great hotel. Good service, helpful staff. Clean and the room was a good size. Everything was great. Near to the lift just across the street behind some houses. Bar in the hotel.
