This condo was very beautiful and clean with beautiful views and decor! The resort was exceptionally nice and the staff is super friendly!. And the waterpark wad great for our kids! I only have a few complaints that are not reflection of the owner of this property at all. I have two small children ( 1&4 ) and there is only one door lock on the doors and if you turn the handle the the door will open whether you have it locked or not, so we had to place chairs in front of the door so our children wouldn't "slip" out. We also asked for a "stick" or rod for the sliding glass door for the same safety purpose and we never received one. The main complaint that I have is there is no regulation on the amount of cars for each unit....we constantly had to fight for a parking space or drive to a totally different set of units and walk carrying groceries or try to wait 15 min for the next tram. So we seen cars parked on the side one day and we thought that we would do the same...well we received warning tickets for parking in front of our condo?? So we left our vacation early due to the hassel of trying to park, it was almost like you didn't want to leave and lose your spot. Very frustrating, I think the condos should be assigned 2 spots with the condo #'s on them so you don't have the inconvenience of trying to find somewhere to park.

Our family had a wonderful vacation in Gatlinburg, TN. At first, we were concerned about staying at the Smoky Mountain West Gate Resort. We were used to renting cabins when visiting the mountains . We had also read bad reviews stating that this resort consisted of being harassed about buying a timeshare. Our experience was nothing but wonderful ! It was a good idea for us to rent directly from a timeshare owner vs the actual resort . This made the check in process quick and easy. We did have a "concierge" representative take us up to our unit . She asked about setting up an appointment, which we declined. Nobody ever mentioned it again. The customer service was phenomenal, the resort was spotless clean, the restaurants and coffee shops had delicious options, the indoor water park tons of fun for our children . The unit was very spacious, beautifully decorated , and with breath taking views of the mountains. There was even a jacuzzi tub with jets! The indoor water park tickets were included in the rental price since we rented directly from the owner. Some reviews stated that the walls were paper thin. However , we found the bedrooms to be quiet and peaceful . Some noise, from the room next door, could be heard, but no different than any upscale hotel or resort we have stayed in the past. Our children lined the many activities that were offered at the resort. There are shuttles that take guests to various areas of the beautiful resort . There are also trolleys that take guests to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Smokey Mountain National Park. This owner, Mrs. Kern, made sure we were all set and ready for a fun week. We have nothing but great things to say about our stay.
