Extremely friendly and helpful staff, perfect location next to altstadt and Aare river, rosengarten part is next to the hotel with fascinating sunsets. Various breakfast options. Clean shared bathroom. Staying here for the second time. Highly recommended!

Location and excellent hosts

Absolutely an amazing hotel with a unique location. Staff are the best extremely friendly and helpful but the best thing are the interior decorations. The style is original and very cosy.

If you are old and don’t like steep steps it’s not for you

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay! Place is very cosy, they also have great breakfast included. Location is near public transport station, but you can also reach city centre easy just by walking couple minutes. Thank you and good luck :)

Perfect location for old town visiting, city parking is right in front of the door. Overnight is free until 7am. Get coins or software to pay parking.

The location is so perfect. It is very easy to find from the train station and the perfect base location to see the city. The breakfast was the best I have ever had, because it was local food and a lovely selection. The room had loads of charm and was a good size.

Sharing a bathroom is always a problem, as it really depends on how clean other people are using it, was a little inconvenient to share with not super tidy people

Shared bathroom might have been an issue but I never met anyone around. Squeaky floor on the corridor could have been an issue but nobody woke me up. Narrow staircase could have been an issue to carry the luggage but I was offered help from the staff.

The hotels interior is remarkable. Both rooms and common areas are lovely and cozy. The bed is big and comfortable. Good Wi-fi connection. Staff is incredibly attentive and friendly. Excellent location by the river. City center is just few minutes away. Big public parking nearby (free at night). I would definitely stay here again!

Accectic nature of the furnishings in room and lobby. Fantastic location was central to old town and bridges. Sink in room was helpful. The breakfast server was chipper and made my day.

The restaurant had no availability for dinner. No recommendations were given for other options. As it is a very old building, the floors in my bedroom creaked. I should have noted in the description that the hotel had shared bathrooms - but they were clean and I never had to wait. It wasn't clear to me what to do with the floor towel in the shared bathroom - hang it back up? Take it with me after use? Replace it with my own floor towel from my room?

The hotel is very nicely decorated, the room comfy and the staff outstanding. We had a lovely few days and enjoyed the restaurant cuisine on both nights. We highly recommend the place!
