The carpet is quite old.

Heating, lights, kettle all worked well. 3 single beds were clean.

Needs refurbishing- especially carpet but get what you pay for

Some of the lights in the room where blown even through the cleaners had been in the room its like they don't turn on lights to check them for and maintances

Reception was permanently closed so had to check in and out with the motel next door Room and bath room run down with shower taps hanging off the wall.

Furniture a little outdated, but the room was clean. Fast wifi, friendly helpful staff, nice restaurant.

Was well located and affordable.plenty of room for parking.A good place to stay when in Mt Gambier.

The carpet was very dirty, with lots of dark marks of something. 1 of our bags was left behind in the room and disappeared from the locked room within couple of hours. When asked staff about it, the answer was that they didn’t find it in the room, no cameras anywhere to help identify what happened. Staff said that no one at the hotel seen the bag which implies that we drove 45min round trip just to lie about it. so disappointed how it was handled and the attitude of don’t care. It’s great to have such faith in your staff, but it is very hard to imagine that the bag can be lost from a locked room that only housekeeper accessed after we left.

Our room ended up being changed which wasn’t much better. The pictures on your site certainly did not match the room we stayed in even when it was changed. Nobody told us that it was being managed by another motel and that certain facilities advertised were not available for use. 1. When we arrived we discovered we had to walk across to the neighbouring motel to check in, a wonderful way to start out our little adventure. 2. When we walked into our room the first thing we saw was a blanket covering the window being held together by tape which looked as though had been there for a long time. 3. There were stains all over the carpet, certainly didn’t want to take my shoes off and the bathroom reflected the same, certainly not what was advertised. There were dead blowflies in the windows and the cupboards/ wardrobes in both rooms were full of dust. 4. Our room was changed- it was marginally better aside from the roof which was flaking off ( not a big deal) We certainly were not keen on staying there and when we expressed this we were told we would only be refunded half the money. When I expressed my concerns the staff member became abrupt and slammed the key down on the table and walked out. I was extremely disappointed as we don’t get to go away as a family very often and this was the end result. I understand it was a budget, however I have been to other places that well above the level of hospitality I witnessed at the Red Carpet and I certainly won’t be returning.

Lack of pillows in the room. Two only were provided, where four would have been ideal.

Location is very good, short drive to supermarket and sightseeing. Bed is big and quite comfortable. The room is clean and big. The room is a bit aged but good value for the price.

There was an air conditioner outside unit just outside our room, the low frequency noise woke me up all night.

Room 8 was fine - no bathmat or hand towel

Room 16 was very poor - carpets not cleaned - glitter stars, dirt and leaves etc on floor, curtains were very dirty with large yellow stains on them, windows were uncleaned, shower curtain was moldy along the bottom and surfaces were generally sticky as if wiped with a dirty cloth. We paid the same price for each room, but they were definitely not the same.
