Beautiful apartment in a beautiful setting. The apartments are situated in the end of a calm street, so the only ‘noise’ you mostly hear is the ocean and birds singing. True, there is a couple of dogs in the nearby houses barking at passers-by, but there are no passers-by (except for you) and the barking lasts this long. I adored the gorgeous terrace with the views, ideal for lazy breakfasts and sunset aperitivos. The bathroom is huge, the walk-in shower comfortable (no curtain, thankfully) and the hairdryer is modern and working perfectly. In general, the place looks just like in the photos or even better (contrary to many others). It’s squeaky clean, bed linen and towels are snow white and the kitchen has everything you need. Tableware is nice and colourful, looks like home and not some quickly gathered plates from the cheapest houseware store. The apartment is very well decorated and also has a nice selection of wine glasses ;). Special thanks to Ana for a nice welcome, checking-in on us to see if the stay was going fine and the flexibility. The location is great if you have a car, otherwise could be tricky to discover the island, but you can walk in 15-20 min to the Cristo Rei statue with great views and cable car to the beautiful Garajau beach (pebbles, but great swimming and cheap sunbeds for those looking for shade). It’s also possible to walk to the beach (20 min down the road) and a few Garajau restaurants.

I liked the location and the facilities available. the view was amazing from the room. host was responsive

unfortunately the wifi did not work for the whole stay despite being reassured that the password works. in addition, we were disappointed to find cockroaches in our apartment. the host did try her best to resolve the situation by dropping pesticide, however, this ruined our last two nights as we were unable to stay the last night in the property. in addition, we were saddened that we were not able to receive any refund for the last couple of nights as they ‘investigated’ the property afterwards and did not find cockroaches- bear in mind they appear at night and hide during the day.

Beautiful, tucked away little apartment set on the side of the hillside; built into the rockface overlooking the sea. Outdoor terrace and bbq area were very handy. The local restaurant serves some of the best food! Great coffee and cake in the nearby cafe. Both 10mins walk. Paula was very helpful with scything extra we needed.

Be prepared for a daily walk up steep hills if you're not driving. Getting Bolt taxis can be difficult but recommend buses.

Location was amazing, nice views, extremely quite but still only 10-15 mins by car to Funchal and other nice areas.

The ceiling was moldy and there was a moldy smell in the apartment. For this amount of money I would not choose this apartment again unless they get rid of the mold. Maybe painting the ceiling would help, not sure.
