I have stayed at this hotel for 3 years now. It’s reliable, comfortable and the staff is nice. The parking is tight but I have always managed to find a spot. The location is great and close to good restaurants

Lovely receptionist and nice lady in the breakfast room.Spacious clean room .Good location and free parking.It’s like moving back in time but in a nice way.It’s a bit dated .I liked table service at breakfast.

Good location, comfortable bed.

Room adequate but very small - clothes hanging space but no drawer space at all. Reception consistently unmanned, significant wait after ringing for attention - once while receptionist continued a clearly private telephone conversation in a next door office. Breakfast poor - 'fried' egg was perfectly shaped (as if cooked in a container, not a frying pan) and tasted more of rubber than egg.

The location is very central. The car park is very tight and small, although it is free if you manage to get a space.

The hotel is very run down. The price to stay was far too high for the quality of the hotel. The hotel has a old fusty smell from the moment you walk in. There was some wallpaper that was falling off on one of the staircases due to damp, which is highly off putting and dangerous. There’s no lifts but plenty of stairs. It’s not an accessible hotel. The room itself was clean but the towels were very old and smell damp. The staff tried their best but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Oh the bed was great. So often I have had difficukty sleeping on the first night, not here! Both my partner and I had excellent nights sleep. Additionally the breakfast was really good value and lets not forget the staff - so helpful, friendly and understanding.

There was nothing we disiked, everything was good or great.
