Fantastic location in Galle Fort. Comfortable room with a nice balcony to sit out on. Really helpful staff - would definitely recommend.

Location
Apart from the location, it was the worst accommodation on our 30-day trip to Sri Lanka. Where the good reviews come from is unclear to me. We received a very unfriendly welcome. After an unmotivated tetrapack welcome drink, we had to pay the room directly, which had never happened before. The room was very small, old and just dingy. The bathroom was very old and not really cleaned, the mirror was still full of toothpaste splashes. The bottled water in the room were refilled bottles, the water in them undrinkable. The kitchen offered for self cooking is in reality only suitable for tea or coffee. The roof terrace is full and is used for drying laundry. You can't enjoy the sunset up here. Old books lie in piles on the floor, sockets are falling apart. Up until then we were used to a lot of things, but then from the absolutely low-budget sector. The most annoying thing was the unfriendly and unmotivated staff. Annoyed by every question and preferring to sit in the corner chatting. If we hadn't had to pay in advance, we would have left again!.

Estar en Galle Fort es un lujo. Sin ruido, sin caos comparado a Galle ciudad. Restaurantes y supermercados cerca. Habitación limpia y baño limpio con agua caliente. Zona comunitaria con nevera y cafetera. No probamos el desayuno pero era casero.
El tamaño de la habitación era un poco justo para tres personas. La recepción de las personas encargadas no fue muy entusiasta. La cama individual era muy muy blanda.

The location of the hotel is within the fort. The rooms are old but they are maintained very well by the owners. Everything was clean. The breakfast service was very good. Definitely recommend this place.

Great place to stay on Galle Fort, perfect location - rooms were beautifully presented and very comfortable, with super friendly staff to help with anything you need. They also do an amazing breakfast! A very relaxing way to finish our Sri Lanka trip, highly recommend to anyone!

Initially we only booked onenight but booked a seond night as soon as we arrived. The host and all the staff were extremely warm welcoming and very helpful. The rooms were immaculate and comfortable.
There was a communal area, where you could help yourself to tea. Coffee and filtered water and a communal fridge which was ideal to keep your drinkins cool
The location was perfect being within the fort.
The breakfast was varied, delicious and in abundance, too much personally

We only stayed at this place for one night, but we want to come back here. Nice, clean, comfortable guesthouse with a great location and very hospitable hosts. They try very hard to do their best! Special thanks for such a hearty and delicious homemade breakfast!

Lovely guest house in the centre of Galle Fort. Great location - walking distance to all the shops, cafes and attractions of Galle Fort. Wonderful hosts. Clean, tidy and comfortable rooms with nice veranada to sit out on after a day exploring. Use of kitchen available. Would stay here again.

Beautiful colonial-style building with all rooms going to a balcony. Very friendly hosts giving great tips for exploring the town and offering a common area with drinking water and a very nice and rich breakfast. The hosts even gave us an upgrade free of charge and served us a special dish for breakfast on our request. The location is not so easily identifiable from the street, but through the description from the hosts it is no problem. Very comfortable beds with mosquito nets and the room is equipped with air condition and a fan.

This is a very nice and super clean guesthouse in old town of Galle. The staff are so kind and was very helpfull. This was my favorite place on my roundtrip in Sri Lanka and If I come back to Galle I would stay here again.

Really nice stay with all the privacy i needed. Gave keys to the main door so i could enter and leave at any time and room was well and big. Beds were clean. Toilet was clean. Manager was helpful. Looking forward to visit again next time around.

Right next to sea, lovely clean rooms with communal balconies, the host really wanted to make you feel welcome. Breakfast was huge like 3 different ones, fruit& yoghurt, eggs and sausages with toast and indian 5 part thali with roti - too much for me and only 1250 rupees.

An excellent guest house, located on the territory of the fort, an interesting historical building.
The rooms are comfortable, clean, quiet after 22 hours.
There is a shared kitchen where you can make tea and coffee for free, as well as warm up food, there is also a refrigerator for guests.
In the common area there is entertainment for guests: kicker, darts, board games.
The beach is 3 minutes walk, Cargills store on the next street is 2 minutes walk.
Wi-fi worked fine!
