A good sized clean and comfortable room. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Decent breakfast with sufficient choice. This is a quiet location but there are some local bars restaurants within 20 mins walk along the beach.

Shower water was extremely hot and a bit fiddly to regulate the flow to get a comfortable flow and temperature. Could do with some shelving/additional cupboard space.

This hotel is fantastic! Quiet,clean,the staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good. The beach is clean and arranged. I recommend to everyone.

We loved the location. Mchanga Zanzibar is right at the beach and you see the water from every spot at their premises. The rooms are very clean and tastefully decorated. Furthermore the staff was very helpful and friendly. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

There are no serious complaints. For this price range we actually expected a little more variety on their breakfast menu, it really doesn't differ from cheaper places we have stayed. Maybe they can improve it with giving more options in the future.

nice location right on the beach. very friendly staff. nice subbed section right by the waterfront . clean and comfy beds with good Moskito netting. food was very nice .

the dining area is not really cosy, kind of cramped to the side of the resort without view and with uncomfortable seating. rooms have no windows which is a bit odd at first but not a major issue.

Me and my sister had the most amazing 2 weeks! We had so much fun with the people that worked at Mchanga Resort, we will certainly never forget them! The location was pure paradise, we went to some other resorts for drinks and stuff but none of the resorts was so beautiful as this one. It's cozy, peaceful, clean, calm and easy going: a true paradise! Would really recommend going to Mchanga Resort, the food is very nice, the people are the best and our room was really cozy and had a great bed! You can stay at the resort all day and have a nice chill day or you can rent a car or driver: the distances to other areas isn't too long. Also would really recommend taking a beach walk from the resort to one of the local restaurants (walk out on the beach to the left, the first local restaurant is great) and other wise take a walk to Zenzero (walk out on the beach to the right, very nice Italian restaurant). Thanks again to all the staff: they really are the best!!

Smallish hotel which means you can actually relax on the beach without being hassled too much. Great location. Close to Covid testing center. Staff members are all very friendly. Especially Samuel at the bar and restaurant. Food is good, but limited.

The owner is busy with construction next to the hotel. This means you cannot sit outside your room (budget rooms mostly) as there is banging all day and late into the night. Owner not too bothered about complaints either.

Very nice hotel, located on a very beautiful beach. The facilities are great, and the staff makes a really good job and is very kind, great thanks to all of them ! The food is good. I highly recommend this hotel.

The property is smaller which I like because there’s no crowds or noise. It’s right on the beach which they keep clean and beautiful. The room (Ocean view) was very comfortable and nicely but simply furnished. Also very clean. The food and drinks were good value for money and tasty. The staff were all extremely nice, polite and helpful. This is not a full service hotel so don’t expect luxury “frills” but it’s simple, comfortable and nice.

needs some updating and modification, if you wanted a drink during dinner, you’d expect to wait, the guys are busy serving dinner, and there’s no females, my personal experience they look after the rooms/ beds better

The staff are so helpful and kind. Pool area is so beautiful. Chalet style rooms. Rooms simple and clean. Coffee station included. Daily water in room. Very quiet. Nice snorkelling day trip. Breakfast nice. Very good for relaxing and drinks on beach.

Prices for food and drinks are very high compared to local. Menu items of inconsistant quality. Isolated area. Needs taxi to go anywhere.

Mchanga Beach Resort 3 stars. We had a lovely time at Mchanga beach resort. The scenery is lovely and the staff delivers a good service with a smile on their faces.

Nevertheless, some things comes in the way of great vacation. First of all, the food & beverage is really not enjoyable. We didn't like any meal we had there, and we even started going to other resorts to have some decent food. Secondly, the wifi is really slow and doesn't work everywhere on the resort. It was barely manageable to send a picture on whatapp).That sound like a details, but really puts another dent in the holidays. Thirdly, we went to the reception desk several times during our stay, and the clerk was never able to help us regarding any informations or activity on the island. Lastly, the checkout was really unprofessional: a random tax of 168$ (9$ per night per person) was added on top of the bill( we weren't warned about this), secondly, we payed by card on a shady website that didn't look secure at all. We will not come back to this resort, as we felt thoses 4 points shouldn't be tolerated in a place of such standard.

We would prefer to have music playing around the hotel. At least some acoustics or instrumental music, jazz, etc. We also hoped to have the bar stay open until 11pm as we were told at reception and not close at 10 PM....

The rooms as basic, but interesting. The resort has touches of beauty. There are good options on the menu that is enjoyable to eat.

The food was often inconsistent, with the same meal being different from one day to the next. The internet was frustratingly slow if you need to get work done.
