I would consider this hotel more of a B&B. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant was absolutely AMAZING. Big breakfast bar with tons of food options. I would stay at this hotel again for the breakfast alone.

We had a very pleasant stay. The rooms are very comfortable and the beds are nice. The staff is exceptionally welcoming and polite. We had very good breakfast. The location is great for the hikes in the national park

the limitation on number of persons. the flat can accommodate easily 2 families with 2 kids by age of 12 and become more affordable so.

Nice starting point for walks
If no gluten free breakfast is available, the lights in the room are suboptimal and there's no comfortable seating, in isolation all of that is ok. That these points all come together, is for this price actually not ok.

Many possibilities for hikes (from 1 hr to a whole day)
We did not bike - but this is definitely well suited for that too

Great location (train sounds didn't bother us at all), comfortable room - everything is good.
The restaurant was OK but more veg options would be better.

We stayed in the Ferienwohnungen at the Elbresort arm of the hotel. Nice space for families, true to photos.
The internet connection was poor. The kitchen had only one pan (though several pots).
