close to everything,on site parking and through access from room to hotel via the beer garden.
we were given the disabled access room (13). The shower was like a fire hose and previously someone had flooded the bathroom and the carpet in the room had been wet and not dried underneath so the room had a foul smell of mould.

This has been the highlight of my travels so far. Gulgong is a beautiful town, and The Prince of Wales Hotel is the perfect place to stay. Reception is at the bar, and it is such a friendly place. The bar is wonderfully decorated. Rooms are at the back of the hotel with parking. The room we stayed in was immaculate and well appointed. A double bed and single bed with a decent bench between the beds. A spacious and clean bathroom, shower only. Air-conditioning works well, TV and microwave. Not only do they provide tea and coffee but also hot chocolate.
We had a meal of fish and chips in the hotel dining room on arrival. The service was excellent and the food was cooked beautifully.
We really enjoyed tasting some gin distilled in the local area. I cannot recommend this place enough, I cannot fault it.

and locks to door and security gate needed lubricant or a new key as it was so difficult to open, nearly bent the key

Convenient, great pub with multiple open fires
The bed was very uncomfortable. Also it can be noisy. Especially Room 14 where we stayed, it had a gate attached to the outside wall which leads to the car parking area. Of a night this gate is closed which is good but guests have access and come and go through the gate which when let go bangs and clangs right next to where you're trying to sleep.

The accommodation was absolutely perfect for a short stay. Great size with everything needed. The pub meals were exceptional , as were the friendly and obliging staff. Highly recommend The Prince of Wales Hotel

The room was a little bigger than I though it would be and the facilities inside the rooms were excellent (a well stocked mini-kitchen with all crockery and cutlery was really helpful).
