Loved the location of this home, beautiful views from both upper & lower decks. Was pleasantly surprised by the quantity of bath linens. Would consider staying here again, only negative we did not catch any fish all week....except for a shark and two blowfish 🐡

What a great time we had at Bob’s place! It has everything needed for cooking, food storage, dish washer and beds and linens and towels. Location close to grocery stores and restaurants. The hot tub was so appreciated after playing in the cold sea water! Wood floors made clean up easy! I brought my 2 under 10 year old sons and had no concerns about them around the house. Showers worked great, and the view of the master was a dream to wake up to. Definitely would stay here again and it is on my list as pet friendly places. Easy access to the beach and great deck with hose for getting cleaned up from the sand. Really loved my stay!

Amazing. I would for sure, hands down, recommend this property to anyone looking for a family friendly, beach front getaway. It's close enough to stores but yet the beach is not over populated.

I loved our stay at Carolina Dream. It was the perfect location for me. Close enough to grocery stores for stocking up on bottled water and necessities (paper products, dishwasher tabs, etc) but far enough from the touristy areas/traffic. In a 45 min dog walk on the adjacent street, I'd see fewer than 10 cars drive by. Save for the neighbors this week having a friend with a Harley, I couldn't hear any traffic noise, or anything besides the ocean. The hot tub was a nice addition that I hadn't even noticed in the listing but was enjoyed by all. And of course, the reason for me after the past 1+ year of pandemic stress: the ocean. It's a beautiful view even from the main level deck, but a short walk out to the beach or when viewed from the master suite balcony, and the stress melts away. My only criticisms are more personal preferences: the lack of screens on windows and doors, and the mattresses. Since several of the days were low to mid 70s, I'd much rather turn off the HVAC units and open the slider or windows, but they didn't have screens to keep flies out. The mattresses are probably only an issue for those with bad backs; or who are used to foam or sleep # mattresses with uniform support. Innerspring mattresses users probably won't notice. All 3 adults had trouble with the innerspring mattresses. I didn't mention it to Robert as it's probably our own peculiarities. I'd recommend switching to foam mattresses when they're due for replacement, as it's usually easier to adjust to foam that has uniform support than it is back to an innerspring's pressure points. For real issues, please call Robert. I got the sense he preferred calls vs texts, as he would respond right away to a call. We had some trouble with the slider leaving a gap and Robert was very quick to respond despite being in the middle of a wedding. He had people look at it the next morning. Overall, you really can't beat the combination of value and location, and the flexibility to bring dogs. I searched SE coast for beachfront properties from NC to FL, and there weren't many at all that allowed >1 dog, and those that did were either 2-3x more or not nearly as nice or had poor ratings. Thanks to Robert for allowing us to bring all our family (including the 4 legged members) and not charging exorbitant fees like some others. I definitely want to return ASAP, but looks like it will be next year based on demand.

Great beachfront home to spend a week or so. It's older, and in need of a little TLC, but was perfect for our family. The owner/manager was very communicative and we had no issues while we were there. Thanks Robert!

I absolutely loved the beach views from the house and the ease of accessibility to the beach. My mom is handicap and usually cannot go over beach dunes to get to the beach. We were all able to enjoy the beach together. Home owner was quick to respond to my questions. He was very kind and a pleasure to work with. I look forward to renting from him again.

The beach house is in need of some repairs and one of the twin beds needs to be replaced. Internet speed was really slow making it difficult for my husband to work. But the location is awesome! The beach was quiet and clean and the neighborhood very family friendly and safe. We appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella! Overall, we had a great time! View from master bedroom is beautiful!

The location really doesn’t get any better- right on the beach and a quick drive from groceries and parks. Kitchen is fully stocked. Views from the master bedroom are awesome (we watched dolphins while laying in bed). There were little maintenance issues here and there, in addition to some water damage. However, I really think the price made up for this in addition to the ability to bring our dogs. Also, Robert was very communicative and I feel that if I had called and said we needed something fixed he would’ve made sure it was done right away. We would definitely stay again!

An awesome location with great views! We enjoyed a relatively uncrowded beach and nice amenities. The owner was very responsive and the hot tub was nice to have.

We rented the east side and upon arrival someone else was on our side. Owner was contacted and said we could stay on the West side. Property manager was there cleaning the hot tub and said cleaning crew had just left but we did find sunflower seeds on stairs. Also found popcorn under couch and in couch. A little oversight but not too big of a deal. House was comfortable and suited to our needs. Decor is very beachy and homey. There was a leak in the master bathroom causing us not to be able to use that to prevent further damage. Property manager was contacted and he had a quick response time. Owner was friendly and we would choose to book with him again! We enjoyed our stay! The location of being right on the beach and having our dogs with us was unbeatable! He was one of the few to let us bring all 3 dogs and being able to have them on the beach with us made our trip so enjoyable!

I think it was a great deal. The house has some updates but I think the owner is still working on a few. The house has a great view and is a great location. The house is a duplex so you could hear the neighbors at times but I am sure they heard us more than we did them The owner was nice and reached out to us prior to the trip

The location was just perfect, right on the beach. We cooked several meals and the kitchen amenities were good. The house itself is a bit tired and could use a little extra love these days.

Great location! Stroll out the walkway from the living room and toes are in the sand. Owner and cleaning service were very accommodating. We were able to check in 2 hours early and also able to check out a little late. Very "beachy" feel to decor which is exactly what we hoped for. Clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. Beds are very comfortable and the view from the master bedroom is unbeatable! Lots of extra bed and bath linens. Kitchen well stocked with everything we needed. 3 bathrooms a real plus. Would highly recommend for families or groups of friends. We had a great stay and will be at the top of our list for our next trip.

The house is in dire need of repair. We lost air conditioning for four days. Had an ongoing problem with ants and there was uneven flooring in the living room. The hot tub was in the basement. The barbecue was also in the basement and was disgusting. The owner reimbursed us 10% for our inconvenience but I would not rent from him again.

You really can’t beat this location right on a gorgeous beach. The house had everything we needed and communication with the owner was great.

photos made the property appear larger than it really is. the door and patio door were unlocked when we arrived- note also, the patio door does not lock but a dowel rod is used to keep it shut. The main entry is awkward due to the counter placement and location of the stairs to the bedrooms, making it difficult to get in with luggage and/or groceries. The master bathroom sink/vanity need to be replaced as the paint is chipped and the cupboards don't close. Also the shower caulk should be re-done and splash guards placed at the corners- the living room ceiling was wet when we arrived, likely from a shower leak in the master bathroom. Our correspondence with the rental company was very timely and pleasant, as was my discussion with the maintenance man regarding the wet ceiling. The location is convenient as is the fact that it is pet friendly. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, pots and pans and cooking utensils although an additional cutting board or two would be nice. The main floor bedroom should have a new bed as the current one is not comfortable and squeaks a lot when moving.

From the beautiful beachfront view to the functional floor plan, our week was wonderful. Thanks Bob for allowing us to enjoy this perfect place to enjoy a terrific time together as a family.

We loved renting Carolina Dream, East. There was a slight mixup on which side we were staying in, but Owner answered his phone right away when we called and promptly cleared it up! The house was nice, access to the beach was great and we loved sitting out on the deck closest to the beach.

This property (East side) is right on the beach, which was not at all crowded, and does sleep 10 with the pull out couch, which is why it's so odd that nothing else is suited for that number of people. In the living room, there is only one comfortable couch, and the rest of the seating is dining room chairs, not exactly what you want for lounging. The kitchen is that of a studio apartment, seriously lacking counter space, basic items such as a griddle (forget making pancakes unless you want to cook one at a time in a skillet), sheet pans (not even one!), larger size pyrex (like a 9x13), and the fridge is small and leaks water inside so everything we had in the back had pools of water on top of it everyday. No icemaker but a bunch of different ice trays which were a bit precarious to stack. Not enough dishes, need at least a set of 12 of everything. So unless you plan on having cereal and frozen meals (not more than a few cause you have to half the freezer at least for ice trays and bowl of ice), this kitchen is a pain in the ass to cook in. The bed linens were fine, seemed newer and clean, nice dining table (seats 8), beds ok, hot tub nice to have (not salt water), and nice little outdoor shower area next to hot-tub. Each side has their own laundry room, but East side is trashed compared to other one, bring a basket cause you don't want your clean clothes touching anything in there...part of the ceiling had fallen in, looks like it hadn't been cleaned in 10 years. Bring your own tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, ziplock, spices, oils, kitchen dish scrubber, ours was used. There is a picnic table on deck, but no beach chairs. There is deck off master but no chair to sit out there, and that door leaks water when it rains. The main window in living room is fogged over, so bummer as it ruins the view, but beautiful view with amazing large window from master (only room with view). There are dressers in each room and a few games and puzzles in the TV cabinet in living area. The beach is amazing, found a ton of shells, nice locals, stores close by, and really nice and helpful handyman, also named Robert 😏�, who helped us with vacuum that conked out 2nd day. I would not stay there again because of the seating and kitchen, but the area is wonderful.

This was our second time renting out one side of this property within the last three years. This time we ended up renting a different side than last time but that made absolutely no difference since we enjoyed our entire stay (1 week). The property was clean and we really appreciated having a full kitchen since we tend to make food at the rentals rather than eat out at restaurants. All of the necessary items were there (pots, pans, utensils, microwave, blender, coffee maker, toaster, etc). We love this property because of the hot tubs and the privacy Emerald Isle beach has to offer as well as the great price. I would definitely recommend this rental, especially during the off seasons, and hope to stay here again for many years to come.

Pros: on the beach, the amount of people the entire house sleeps if you rent out the entire house. Theres a hot tub in each side. Cons: all the tv remotes had no batteries, the beds were very uncomfortable including a very squeaky bed that you could barely roll over on. The view is slightly blocked on the left side of the duplex from the living room, the furniture was always damp from the humidity, outdated kitchen, barely any cooking pans. All the rooms were small, couldnt fit more than 2 suitcases in a room. Master on each side is triple the size of the other rooms.

We booked this home for a week and it was terrific, it had plenty of room for our family! A bit too cool for us to venture into the hot tub, but it didn't stop our neighbors 😀 It was great to be able to do laundry and cook meals to save money and time. Will definitely book again!

we stayed with our 3 children for the week and had a wonderful time. the house is clean and was just right for a family. the view is amazing and the hot tub was great. a few little things, the light in the laundry room out and the Tv in the upstairs queen bedroom could not do the dvd player. these were the only minor things. we want to come back next year! thank you!

My favorite place by far, the house is well maintained and so clean. We have been renting this house for the past 4 years and sometime I go twice a year, that's how much " I Love It " The location is perfect I vacationed with my friends from out of state and they were so impressed and we will return next year. The owner is very accommodating and will make your stay enjoyable.

We loved it! What a great deal we received. There were 7 of us in our party and we had plenty of room. It was chilly while we were down, but the awesome hot tub really was a delight. The views were awesome. We walked on the beach 2-3 times a day. Our neighbors next door were great, too! Hope to get it again next year!

The beach and location were great. The house needed work. The bathrooms and showers were gross, you needed to wear flipflops in the showers. There were ants in the kitchen, in the bathrooms and even in the master bedroom. The dishwasher did not clean. There was never enough drinking glasses. There was a problem with the septic/sewer on the half of the duplex and there was a foul odor when you would go outside by the cars. Would definitely go back to Emerald Isle, but not this house.

This house is a great place for a stay at the beach for extended family, family reunion or large group, or for a romantic getaway. The duplexes have an interior connecting door which is great. There are two BRs on main floor with living, dining, kitchen & deck which was great for grandma who has trouble with stairs. The master BRs are large & absolutely great with an out of this world view of the beach & ocean and a private deck. (I'm bringing my girl friend back for a romantic stay this fall.) The place was clean. It was well equipped for cooking, meals, etc. for everyone. The furniture was several notches above any other beach house I've ever been to. There was plenty of good deck furniture. There are two washers & 2 dryers. Some of our group absolutely loved the hot tubs. Everybody wants to come back here next year.

We had a wonderful stay. The beach was beautiful. Loved sitting on the end of the deck in the evening. Beds were very comfortable. Weather was great. Enjoyed the hot tubs.
