El Viejo Molino has everything you need: friendly stuff, good location and comfy rooms. We also had a parking lot on the property and received recommendations what to do in and around Chilecito.

Staff was very friendly, even gave us a lift to the busstation!

But that was about it. I would not recommend going here, but would also advice to avoid Chilecito all together. We used it as a base for nature tours, which were amazing. But probably other cities/villages are able to do so too. We left a night earlier (refund not possible, obviously) and took a nightbus to our next destination. The place itself was a weird mix between ‘not finished yet’ and ‘everything is old and broken’. We were placed across the street in an apartment style building, so not in de main hotel. But this shouldn’t make a difference. It was a weird and unpleasant experience. The positive reviews and the three stars are baffling.

The property was small but very comfortable. The beds were comfortable, Air conditioning was available and the host was friendly and very helpful. I would recommend this property to stay.

A bit noisy, the air conditioner was difficult to program, the breakfast was basic, one flight of stairs to reach rooms.
