Comfortable accommodations in a converted pharmacy building. We had a large room upstairs with four twin beds and a private bathroom. Very spacious and comfortable with a nice deck that we didn't use due to the weather. Nice views from the room looking west towards the ice cap and glaciers. Walkable to any of the restaurants in Hofn. Supermarket across the street. Nice breakfast for an extra charge. This was one of only two hotels that we stayed in two nights during our ring road adventure and it ended up being a very comfortable respite after over a week on the road. Staff are not onsite 24/7 so there are times you would need to call a number if you need assistance. We did not, so I can't comment on the responsiveness.

There was no way to make the room dark at night. You can‘t charge 200 dollars for a room without curtains/blinds to darken room in a country with midnight sun.

Everything was great, rooms were warm and spacious, clean. The light free breakfast was also a plus. The hot chocolate was great.

Quite noisy - some residents were up late past 11:30pm talking loudly in communal area. A few residents had crying children. Walls are thin. Someone cooked fish in the communal kitchen and it made the whole place smell like fish. The guesthouse had more of a hostel feel to it

Easy access and check in, comfortable, warm, good location , nice facilities to make drinks and included simple breakfast (cereal, yoghurt, orange juice) . Self catering kitchen. The lady who runs it was around loading and unloading dishwasher and was pleasant . We ate in the evening at Kaffi Hornid very close up the road walking. This was a lively bar serving good value and delicious food. seemed to be plenty of locals there.

The self catering kitchen needs a bit of a refurbishment. I tried to use frying pans but they were both badly damaged and bowed so much on the bottom no heat transferred and the insides were damaged. The one tea towel was wet and dirty at breakfast….we made omelette as the provided breakfast is basic.

We booked a triple room, which was of adequate size, and we didn't feel too cramped in it. Cheking in and out was also quick and efficient, and all the facilities, including our private bathroom and the one available to all guests, were really clean and accessible. The guesthouse was cozy and was located close to the main road and several services, including several restaurants in walking distance.

It was clean and within walking distance to the restaurants. We slept well in the comfortable bed.

The room was a bit challenging to navigate since it had very low slanted ceilings (I actually banged my nose) but that is not a property flaw, just an inconvenience for tall people. I would have liked more options for breakfast other than cereal - at least toast and butter or some cheese. I think it is misleading by saying breakfast is free with such a sparse offering.

Wasn’t clear on the cooking facilities or the free self serve light breakfast. But had a great value breakfast on the quay the next day.

The room is big and comfortable. It's easy to explore the lovely town by walking. It serves free coffee and milk.
