Vacation was glorious. Kitchen was stocked well. Plenty of bath towels, all bedrooms had TVs, loved all the openness of the house, loved all the big windows, pool was wonderful, view was beautiful. I have nothing negative to say about this rental!

This house was great. It was our yearly family trip to a National Park so there were 3 households. There was plenty of space! The sunsets were amazing, the pool used multiple times a day and a great location to things. It was an easy drive to the Everglades and Biscayne NP. We saw dolphins from the dock which my kids loved. Would stay again without a second thought.

By far the best VRBO we have ever stayed in. Well maintained and very clean. Great location. Pool was fantastic. Sunset views were spectacular. Planing to stay again.

The house is absolutely beautiful. My kids fished off the dock every day and caught all different kinds and we even got to see some dolphins. The pool was nice and refreshing especially on the real hot days. The house has everything fishing poles, beach chairs, beach towels, and bikes. House is very convenient to the local supermarket and convenient stores. The owner was very responsive to text messages for any questions we may have had. We definitely will be back!!!

We come to Marco Island every year and this was our favorite home. Thank you to John and Janet for allowing our family to experience your spectacular home. Our children are grown but reminded us of their youth trying to get them out of the the amazing pool. The view from the deck fabulous at sunset.

Our family has been enjoying a summer beach trip every year since Nana was diagnosed with cancer 10 years ago. Suddenly, this became a priority. We love the West Coast of Florida but first time in Marco Island. This home was absolutely perfect for the “older” family members right down to the 3 month old. No cooking utensils needed; we did a lot of cooking! The pool offered an excellent, end of day reward for a “ hard” day (😃) at the beach. The owner was always available for questions and the Paddle Marco rep added a lot of valuable wildlife information while delivering our kayaks. The kids have shells, shells, shells to bring home! All that to say, highly recommend this property, but not on our week, we are already booked, again. THANK YOU John, Paddle Marco, Marco Island and the little “iggies” next door for such a memorable trip. See you soon.

The home at 180 Starfish was absolutely amazingly beautiful and spotless. My family of 4 adults and I loved spending many hours each day fishing on the dock and seawall. Even though our catch of 15 minimum size keeper mangrove snappers did not equal the time spent fishing it was alot of fun. The swimming pool was very clean and everything about this house was perfect.

This house was immaculate!! So clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with pts and pans and even plenty of food storage containers. Every linen closet had piles of new sheets and towels. We were very happy with everything!

We’ve never been to Marco Island nor rented a home for a vacation. After staying in this amazing home for a week I don’t know how we will ever stay in a hotel again. The home is huge and the location on the water is beautiful. We saw a dolphin or two almost every morning, caught a ton of fish off the dock, swam in the warm pool everyday, and enjoyed the bikes to tour the neighborhood. House has everything you could possibly need for the beach which made it so easy for us with 3 kids in tow. We rented kayaks and just around the corner was gorgeous open water to explore. The owner was super responsive to any question I had while there and I had NO complaints or issues whatsoever. We couldn’t have been happier in our weeks stay and would go back in a heartbeat!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at John's beautiful house on Marco Island. Located on a quiet edge of the island, everything we needed was either at the house or just a short drive (or bike ride) away. Add to that the relaxing atmosphere, beautiful sunset views, and the dolphins playing on the glassy morning waters outside the windows, and you've got a recipe for a lifetime of memories. We can't wait to go back!

Great property. We stayed here several years ago, and everything was just as we remembered. Plenty of room to either hang out together or separate as needed.

The property met or exceeded our expectations. The home was clean, spacious and has a great outdoor space. The property owner John checked in with us during the week to make sure everything was going well and to make sure we didn't need anything. We would rent the home again on any future trips to Marco Island.

2 Families/7 people/14 days, 100 percent amazing. We could not have asked for a better place to stay in Marco. Aside from being such a great convenient location for easy access to everything in Marco, the house itself was amazing. It was clean, well stocked with everything we needed and so well laid out for both family time together and enough room to spread out for some quiet time. Even our teens and pre-teen loved the house, the pool and the dock. Fishing off the dock was great fun as well. This house really felt like home away from home and we have definitely found our favorite for future trips. One thing that was immediately obvious was that this house is really well taken care of and loved by the owners. You can tell they really want their guests to enjoy their home as much as they do. And we certainly did. Thank you so much for what was one of the best vacations we have al had. We were all sad to leave and look forward to coming back again soon:)

We were not sure what to expect as we’ve always stayed at the JW Marriott on Marco Island. This year we brought my elderly parents with us so we really needed more space and a one story property. As much as we were concerned not being close to the beach or the restaurants, we couldn’t have been more pleased to have experienced a more tranquil, relaxing Marco! My husband and kids and dad fished EVERYDAY! We saw dolphin, tarpon, stingray, grouper, and tons of different birds! Loved being on the inlet! Can’t wait to return for years to come❤️

We were looking forward to a week of unwinding, soaking in the beauty of Western FL, and enjoying the wonderful community of Marco Island where we have visited many times. Our stay at 180 Starfish was just exceptional in every way. The house is just beautiful and meticulously maintained. The kitchen is very well equipped enabling us to prepare some wonderful meals which we enjoyed together on the poolside lanai. We savored the sunsets from the dock and counted some stars too! Each day we “got some great steps in” as we explored the island by foot meeting some wonderful folks and even a little burrowing owl along the way. Everything at the house from WiFi, to appliances, to grill, to pool, to bicycles worked perfectly making our week just a real pleasure in every way. Thank you Janet & John for sharing your Marco Island treasure with us!

We had a great time in this gorgeous waterfront property! Our group included four adults and four children, ages 5 and under. The pool was a nice amenity as it provided a respite from the scorching beach sun. The home was clean and in good condition. For two separate families, it was great to have two separate wings containing Master suites. The owners were very communicative and provided thorough descriptions for all available amenities. We appreciate the opportunity to stay at this home and would definitely rent here again!

The communication with the property owner was great. He seems to be a great person. The property was clean and had everything we needed an more. Overall, it was a great experience.

My family of 10 just returned from our stay at this home. These owners have out done themselves. There is nothing you will need except your clothes. The home is beautiful inside and out. The water views are great and " Flipper" came by our dock daily as well as "Kevin" the Blue Heron. The pool is very large and warm.{all kinds of pool toys} Everyone had room to spread out. Everything in the house is very good quality. A short car ride to South Beach.{ $8.00 to park} Had a little incident with a Jelly Fish but all is well now. Don't hesitate to rent this property. They have thought of everything to make their guests comfortable. We will be back John.

My family and I had a wonderful time in your beautiful home. The views were stunning! You and Janet have all the amenities and much more. The kids loved the large pool, as well as my husband and I. Fishing off of the dock was very enjoyable as we caught more and more fish. My husband and I have been coming down to Marco Island for over 20 years. We just returned home last night and wanted to tell you what a wonderful time we had at 180 Starfish Ct. Your home and surroundings are beautiful and very relaxing. After working all year, what a pleasant place to unwind and relax. Charlotte ’s brother said it was the prettiest place he had ever seen. We made extra efforts to treat your home as we do our own. We love Marco Island and look forward to going again. We caught some catfish off the dock……..would like to catch some Snook, but maybe we weren’t using the right bait. We had lunch at Lee Be Fish Co. a couple times at the north end of the island……….its very good and you may want to try it if you haven’t already. I’m sure there’s much more to explore on the island. We just got back from a week of one of the best family vacations we have ever taken. As the previous reviewer already mentioned, this home was spectacular. Pictures on the website cannot capture the beauty of this home, the openness of the rooms, the magnificent views in the morning and evening, the dolphins and manatees swimming by, and the relaxed and purely peaceful place this home is! And that's coming from a Mom who spent the week with four kids, ages 8 to 17, a husband and her inlaws!!! It was pure joy. We loved that Grandma and Grandpa could have their own section of the house in the huge master suite. We loved the we could be at the other end of the house and all the rooms had spectacular views. The kids loved the TVs in the room and said they felt like they were at Disney World (which is the highest compliment from a kid). We loved the gorgeous pool, the quietness of the neighborhood, how meticulously clean the house was, all the furnishings, the wonderfully stocked kitchen as we love to cook and well...it was just perfect!!! John, the owner, was great from the moment we emailed him with our inquiry and answered all our questions and more in such a timely and friendly way! The island had tons to do and we would recommend a walk down Tigertail Beach to the end to Sanddollar Spit where we found over 100 sand dollars (whole) in a variety of sizes. Also recommend Captain Ron's waverunner tour with Avi. Fantastic and worth every penny spent! We ate at Lee Be Fish and though it looks like a hole in the wall, it's wonderful fish. Rented bikes and traversed the whole island and ate at Snook Inn one afternoon. Walked the marina and watched the fisherman gut fish (a highlight for one of our kiddos) and visited Marco Movies and had dinner at the movies which was the highlight for our 8 year old. We played tons of board games at home and swam, swam, swam. A perfect vacation for all 8 of us and as I told John, when I win the lottery, I'm buying a home just like his....in the meantime, we would recommend his to anyone and everyone. You could not find a finer property than this home. (and I looked and agonized over our decision for 2 weeks before we chose John's!) This is our first time using VRBO and I am afraid that we will forever be spoiled because I can't imagine any property being as amazing as this one. Thank you John and Janet for sharing your home with us. It was a wonderful way to start our holidays!!!

We have just returned from a week at this gorgeous home. We have used VRBO many times and this experience was the first time that not only was the information totally accurate but the pictures didn't even do it justice! It is even more beautiful than those pictures can show! The home is clean and well equipped. The sheets and towels are lovely quality, white much like a very nice hotel. The huge living space worked well for our extended family. There are two huge master suits each with their own bathroom at opposite ends of the house. It worked out that each couple had their own bathroom (three couples). There are four different sitting areas around the screened in back deck and pool area that we enjoyed many good books. The wicker furniture is very comfortable and a favourite spot for the adults. We went for walks in the area many times. The homes' manicured gardens and waterways are a feast for the eyes. There were grapefruit trees, fig trees, bright flowers, gorgeous landscaping and interesting mailboxes (manatees, dolphins, pelicans) on the streets! Twice dolphins playfully jumped while we were around the pool. Once right by the dock where we were standing. Cooking and sociallizing is easy along the huge island the runs between kitchen and great room. John is extremely organized and informative about his and Janet's property. We had a pool heater glitch that John had solved the same day. A pool repair man came on a Saturday night at 7 p.m. That was wonderful service! Two grocery stores close by and lots of fabulous restaurants. We highly recommend Verdi's, the kids loved the Mexican restaurant Margarita's (near the WinnDixie) and Joey's pizza was great too! We also did a morning trip to the Naples Zoo. Perfect walking distances for our little grandchildren. Marco Island is a beautiful part of Florida and we highly recommend this property and John as someone to rent from. Thank you John and Janet for making your Starfish home available for rent. We really lucked out with this one and would return in a NEW YORK minute!

Our family of six adults and two children just returned from a wonderful week on Marco Island. We have rented for the past seven years and although all were lovely, this one was the best. The kitchen and family room area were huge and we were able to be all together. Having an added office was greatly appreciated by my husband and son-in-laws. All of the rooms were nicely decorated and very comfortable. My grandsons fished almost daily with my husband and their father and everyone caught fish. We were able to see dolphins several times which excited everyone. The views were beautiful, expansive and very peaceful. Marco Island is a special place to visit and a great time was had by everyone!

Our second year staying with John and Janet on Starfish. This year we increased our stay to a full month from a prior stay of 2 weeks and it is still not long enough. You will not be disappointed in any way. Water views and sunsets that you will have trouble finding elsewhere. We are booked again next year and cannot wait to get back. You will not find owners more passionate and caring for their home and your comfort. Locally, Bob does a fabulous job of making sure any questions are promptly looked after. Well done Bob ! Beautiful vacation home. Just as described. We really enjoyed everything about it. The kids had a great time fishing off the dock and swimming in the pool. Having 4 full baths really let us get up and get the day started with ease.
