The house is cute and met our needs well. The location is wonderful - especially being next to the state park. There were definitely more birds around and being able to drive down on the beach to access a beach where you can’t drive is the best of both worlds. The house is simple and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and there was plenty of seating. We liked being closer to everything Galveston has to offer and not having to drive as far down. Communication and check in were super easy and we had no problems at all. Would definitely rent again.

Wonderful experience. Clean house, on the beach with easy access. Very responsive owner. Local amenities with a small town feel, but only 10 minutes from Galveston if larger supply runs are needed. Pet friendly, even with my giant dog. Great stay, will repeat!

Had a wonderful stay - very convenient location and everything you need for a short stay. Really nice to have enough seating for everyone. So many VRBOs sleep 6, but only have seating for 4. This home had plenty of room for our family 5 including our dog! Hope to be back soon.

We had a nice time. Just over looked it didn’t have washer and dryer. Layout was nice. Had everything you needed.

We enjoyed our long weekend. Super convenient location to the beach. House was well stocked with supplies and linens. Outside area was nice to sit outside with pups in fenced yard. House could have been a little cleaner, front door needs to be replaced/repaired. The floor at front door is rotten. Could use a little TLC.

We had a very nice Spring Break trip. Great location, right by the water and next to the State Park. We enjoyed walking at the State Park. House was clean. Pictures were a good representation of the house. Great deck and view of the water. We were happy to be able to bring our dogs. The set up being so close to the water and the fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs. Thanks!

Perfect location and space for a holiday break for me and the dogs. No better location to walk every day down the beach.

House looks out over the beach. Great kitchen, comfortable rooms. Lots of beach equipment downstairs. We loved bringing our dog, fenced-in yard perfect. We had a wonderful time in this house.

Great view - we spent a lot of time on the deck. Kitchen had what we needed. Beds were comfortable. We had never been to Jamaica Beach, so we were surprised that the beach allows cars - and there were many - but the pictures in the listing do reflect that.

We loved we could walk out and go walk into the state park and avoid the parking and crowds associated with most of the beaches in the area.

We had a good stay at the property. It was the only one we could find that would allow my daughters dog as she is over 50 pounds. It was a family vacation and it was difficult finding a property to fit all our needs. The house was beach front and had a nice grass fenced yard . The dog and all of us enjoyed hanging out underneath the house in the afternoon while taking a break from the sun. The house was an open floor plan and was able to accommodate us all without feeling too crowded. The house was clean in the areas that are most important but could use a deep clean. There was a lot of dust on the ceiling fans and baseboards. The grout in the hall bath (between the tub and shower walls. probably needs to be replaced. It was discolored unsure what it was. There was plenty of linens and towels and they were clean and fresh.kitchen was clean and adequately stocked. The refrigerator does not dispense ice so you might want to bring a bag with you. We used the boogie boards and sand toys which was a nice touch . The downstairs outside shower had only one shower head working but it did the job. Also the hose was great to rinse off feet and toys. The location to the beach access was great. Only a short walk which is nice for young children. It is also right next to the state park. This area allows driving on the beach so we walked over past the pilings to the state park where no vehicles are allowed. I would not normally book in an area that allows vehicles on the beach but as it was the only house that would allow the dog I made the sacrifice. The state park being next door did not make it an issue. The owner has very easy check in and out which I really appreciate. If you have large dogs and do not mind cars on the beach then this is a good house to stay at. It is front row and has quick access to the beach.

We LOVE this place! This was our second time here. The front row view is breathtaking. This property is dog friendly with a fence. The place is cozy and has stunning views. Harold is very considerate of his guests. We were running late from leaving the property, but Harold did not rush us. He is very easy to communicate with, has quick replies and is very friendly. We definitely cannot wait until next year! :) #ourfavoritegetaway

Even though there were a few key/door lock issues our stay here was great. The owner is always available and ready to help. Love having the beach walking distance.

I rented this house due to the proximity of the beach so I could have my wedding on the beach! It was so perfect, comfortable, and convenient! The host was amazing and responsive.

We loved the location! The immediate neighborhood was a bit rundown appearing. Though the neighbor to the west kept their porch light on all night, we were able to find a small area on the deck to enjoy the bright stars at night. The home was as it appears in the photos. It was clean, convenient and very appreciated for a much needed get away. The only thing we would have enjoyed more is for the sliding glass door to open and screens on that door and the windows to keep bugs out of the house when we wanted to listen to the ocean at night. It was a wonderful place to also have our puppy with us. We would recommend a simple get away too this wonderful location. Communication was efficient and thorough and occurred once. Check in was so convenient. The only difficulty we had was how the keys barely worked as we had to wriggle it harshly to close it. The kitchen functioned sufficiently and had everything we needed, except dish towels and dish rags. We just used the bathroom hand towels and cloths. The bed was very comfortable also.
