Had a great vacation in Puerto Rico. The location of this condo is amazing. Very near a quiet but fun beach, a short 3 mins walk to restaurants and more lively pools. The condo itself was stocked with just enough for what we needed. Our king bed was very comfortable and our two girls slept well on the futons - sheets and pillows provided. It can get quite sandy and sort of damp with the beach and humidity - had I had the foresight, I would have sprung for a mid-week cleaning. Outside of the condo itself, the pool area is VERY quiet. No music is allowed and we received a couple of "warnings" (oops!!). We had many other families staying at this same location at other VRBO's, which was great because it allowed us to each secure a condo at our own price range. However, this large of a group can get a bit rowdy. The common areas were pretty worn down and in need of a good update - elevators, pool area, etc. One of the hot tub wasn't working but it wasn't a big deal for us because the new hot tub is REALLY big and they allowed kids in it. Restaurants over at the main hotel were GREAT. The gym was less than impressive and could use a HUGE update. We LOVED going across the main highway and found some fun restaurants. John and Taylor were both so great and helpful. The communication was awesome. We just had a bit of trouble figuring out where we were supposed to go to check-in. Took us an extra 15-20 mins to locate the key. Overall a super fun trip and would stay again!!

My wife and I stayed here for 10 beautiful days! It is almost like staying at a private resort without feeling isolated! The villa is within the gated grounds of the Wyndham Rio Mar Resort, yet it is separate and much more private. There were rarely more than 6 people on the beach, the pools are beautiful and again, rarely more than 6-8 people using them, quite often, just my wife and I! When I sent pics to friends and family, they asked if we were staying in a private, exclusive resort! The villa is very comfortable, has a fantastic ocean view and is decorated very nicely with a slight ‘Island vibe’! The kitchen is a perfect size, we made breakfast every day and enjoyed eating on the large terrace while listening to the birds and ocean waves. The hosts, John and Taylor we’re definitely the most communicative, friendly and accommodating hosts we have ever encountered. You can take a 5 minute walk to the resort for restaurants and casino or drive a short distance to some excellent restaurants. I could go on and on, but then we’d have to book even sooner for our next vacation here! We will definitely be back!

Such a great condo! It was very clean and well appointed. We had such an amazing time. The pools were wonderful and the beach was beautiful. My kids loved the waves and the boogie boards. They also spent a lot of time in the hot tub. The owners were very helpful and responsive when I couldn’t find the access info to the unit. The resort was close and convenient for dinners and lunches. The proximity of El Yunque Forest was also very convenient. We will definitely be back.

This unit is perfect for two couples, soaking in the view, the warmth, the golf, hiking, swimming, roaming around the northeastern end of Puerto Rico. Property manager Vimarie is responsive and the unit is fully equipped.

As a family of five we stayed here rather than the hotel next door. The whole Rio Mar development is gated and feels very secure. Grounds, golf courses and pools are well kept. Beaches get swells from the open Atlantic which makes for good breaking waves, fun boogie boarding. Sometimes a bit rough for swimming and signs warn of rip current. The villas are very quiet. The Wyndham is an easy 3-5 minute walk for a more lively scene, bars, restaurant, gift shop, casino although all very expensive. We spent lots of time in El yunque at the visitor center, hiking and took a night forest tour, it's a very easy drive. The condo is really well equipped with kitchen gear beach toys, and washer dryer. Overall it was a perfect spot for quiet family beach getaway.

Words cannot describe how wonderful this beachfront condo is. The owners promptly communicated with us any questions that we had. Having morning coffee on the balcony was a special treat every morning. They provided the basic essentials that you could want, and whatever else we just went to the store to buy extra of. The air-conditioning in the unit was great! It was just my husband and I and we were very comfortable in the king size bed. We brought our own pillows. it was wonderful having a washer and dryer as you did not need to bring many clothes and I brought my own tide pods. It is awesome having a kitchen where we could eat breakfast and lunch and just go out for dinners. The beachfront is absolutely stunning with a sand color I have not seen before in my travels. You can totally hear the ocean waves. It’s so soothing! The pool is barely used and it was so nice not having loud people like staying at a hotel. Next door the hotel is very close and has restaurants and a casino. We had our own reserved parking spot which was nice and they have rolling luggage carriers so you could bring your groceries and luggage to your condo easily. I feel we definitely will be back when we are in the mood to take a very relaxing vacation.

We had a wonderful week- condo, property and location were just as advertised. I have stayed in other short term rentals that offer a bit more in terms of supplies in kitchen and bathroom but we had what we needed. We appreciated the washer/dryer too. King bed in bedroom was super comfortable and we loved the black out shades. The leather futons in living room were fine for our teen, but not the most comfortable to sleep on. We loved the long beach, quiet pool, and being so close to the nearby resort so we could use it as we chose. Overall it was just as advertised and we would go back!

The condo is a little slice of heaven and we really enjoyed our stay! It's very well equipped and has everything one could possibly need for a nice relaxing vacation. The bed is comfy, the view is beautiful and the pool is only a few steps away. It's also very convenient having the Wyndham next door for little odds and ends or just to grab a meal. We hope to be visit again soon!

This was our second stay in this specific unit and it does not disappoint. Location, Location, Location. Unit is clean, solid air conditioning and easy access to pool area and beach. The location is safe and it convenient to both restaurants in the nearby resort as well as shopping (huge grocery store nearby). Hosts are communicative and helpful. We will be back.

Beautiful place with so much to offer. The hosts were gracious and wonderful. Even check in on us during our stat (When does that happen!) The poctures are exactly what you get. The unit, the complex and the ammenries are a 10! The owners gave great information on things to do and places to see while we enjoyed our stay. The unit clean, the bed (super comfy) right down to the pillows. My only regret is not staying longer. Thank you Taylor and John, your home is beautiful and we felt like it was our own! Many thanks and highly recommended. We will be back.

My partner and I were looking for a quiet beachfront getaway with access to amenities and this villa did not disappoint! The view was amazing from the 2nd floor villa and access to both a pool and beach was great. We really enjoyed our stay. The villa was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Every morning we had our coffee on the patio listening to the surf. We liked having access to the hotel amenities for restaurant options, bars, casino, etc...; but we were also close enough to local options and towns like Luquillo and Fajardo. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Taylor and John!

It was a lovely trip in a wonderful resort on the beach. Beautiful views and a short walk to the resort restaurants and casino.

Everything about this place was exceptional. Believe it or not the pictures DO NOT do this place justice. The views, location, amenities were all beyond our expectations. You feel much closer to the water than what you see in the pics. Condo was clean and plenty of room for our family of 4. 2 adults and 2 grown teens. Fold out beds were obviously not as comfortable as a real mattress, but they worked for us. Rio Mar resort is absolutely beautiful. Pools are clean and always a good temperature to cool off. Resort next door was great for casino, restaurants, shops and early morning specialty coffees. Beach is very nice and groomed every morning. Water is amazing. If it's windy the water gets a little murky right at the shore but on calmer days, it's very clear even at waist deep depths. If you're a golfer, definitely bring the sticks! The 2 courses at the resort are amazing. A little pricey but worth it. Can't say enough good things about this condo and locations. Resort is gated and well run. The owners were very helpful with any questions or concerns we had. Overall, a 9.5 out of 10 for us. Only real complaint was with the property management company that did not reach out to set up a meeting time when we got there. It was a little confusing on where to find our parking and entry to the condo. However, we got in late and it was dark so that didn't help. If you want a private on beach experience, this IS IT! We will definitely be back!!!

For us and our 18 year old daughter, this was the PERFECT place to spend a week together before she leaves for college. The unit was everything it was advertised - .the balcony was amazing and the views spectacular! It was great for us to have the peace and solitude of the condo AND be so close to the bars/action at the Wyndham. I know summer is a slower period but the condo side was almost empty, it was like we had our own private beach and pool! We never saw more than maybe a dozen people total on the beach - it was GLORIOUS! Don't hesitate, book your stay today! Taylor was very quick to respond to all of my questions before and during the stay. The condo side is going thru some renovations and repairs but nothing major and certainly nothing that impacted our stay!

The perks were very good for the price point. The balcony and view were outstanding. The property wasn't overly crowded so finding chairs at the pool was easy and the opposite beach experience from the crowded Florida beaches. The location was good for being able to go back to San Juan but also close enough to the ferry and other excursions on the east coast. The money we saved by having the teenagers sleep on the futons paid for some excursions. They were tired enough every night that not having a mattress was not a problem. We had one maintenance issue but the owners were eager to help get a resolution even though the mgmt people initially put us off. Overall a great trip.

This is our second stay at John and Taylor’s and hopefully not the last. Accurate description, great location. A+ hosts!

We so enjoyed our stay in Puerto Rico. The beach was practically private and the location of the condo within the community is perfect-steps to the beach. We would love to return if we have the opportunity!

This was our 4th visit to the villas at Wyndham Rio Mar but our first staying within the Ocean Villas complex and I’m not sure it could be beat! The condo had all of the basics for a wonderful stay - the real show stopper is the view overlooking the pools straight to the ocean. We loved the ease of access to the pools and we mostly had them to ourselves. The resort restaurants and amenities like the fitness center are a quick walk along the beach. While in PR this time around we visited Culebra (Flamenco Beach is amazing!) and Vieques (the wild horses everywhere were magical) by ferry. We spent a day eating at the kiosks at Luquillo and enjoying the beach there. We also spent a day at the rainforest which is very close by. We love taking back roads and exploring the island. This trip we found a new amazing breakfast spot in Fajardo - La Vista, this place was so special with the owner Gladys sharing hugs, gorgeous views and the best coconut banana pancakes there ever was. Thank you to John and Taylor for the perfect spot for our latest trip to PR (from Maine!). We hope to visit again someday!

The Villa was everything we hoped for and more. The view was exceptional! We had the pools and beach basically to ourselves, and the location was spot on. We really appreciated the owners prompt communication, and it made us feel very at home. The villa was spacious, clean, and even better than the photos. I will greatly miss morning coffee on the expansive porch overlooking the ocean. We can’t all wait to come back an explore some more. This was our first time in PR and we know this is where we will desire to stay again. Sand dollar and sea glass hunts were part of our daily routine. The villa comes very equitpt with everything you need. We left two great boogie boards behind for others to use. Our 8 yrs old loved catching the waves! Wonderful memories were made. Very enjoyable trip and the property was excellent. It was perfect for my wife and me. We stayed in another unit same time last year so we knew what to expect. We will be back again.

A fantastic escape. The property matches the pictures and descriptions perfectly. Zero unpleasant surprises. Check in and out was flawless. Communication was top notch with the hosts. We spent every morning, and ended every evening enjoying the view off the deck. Highly recommended.

My husband, teen daughter and I had another relaxing and peaceful stay at Rio Mar. We’ve been coming here for many years and this was our first stay at this particular unit. It won’t be out last. The villa was a perfect size for the 3 of us. We downsized this trip as my son was away at college and not joining us. Further, we’ve stayed in several other villas to appreciate the renovations here. The opened up kitchen and counter was nice for socializing. When not on the beach you’d find us on the balcony. The couch there was comfortable and the ocean views glorious!

This condo has it all! Steps from the pool and beach, clean and stocked with everything you need, staff is super friendly and helpful and a balcony to enjoy it all!!

This Ocean Villa property at Rio Mar did not disappoint and was the perfect spot for our family vacation. Steps to pristine swimming pools, outdoor play space, and a spectacular beach with waves that kept us entertained for hours. The view from the balcony of the condo was picturesque. The property owners and management team were welcoming and helpful from beginning to end. We highly recommend!

What a beautiful property ! The view and proximity of/to the beach are exactly as pictured ! We went for relaxation and we got it . The location is so quite. The wildlife sounds at night were incredible. Excellent vacation! Only tiny complaint is the tv in the living room was difficult to use .

My wife and I had such a pleasant stay. The condo is in great shape and had everything we needed. It was also incredibly quiet and peaceful. But the best part is the LOCATION. The condo was right above the pools and had a direct view (and access) to the ocean, just a few hundred steps away. We swam, boogie boarded (provided), walked the beach and just relaxed. AAAA+ Hosts were responsive and helpful.

The view from the condo was incredible!! We enjoyed being so close to the pools & beach so it was very easy to go back to the room if needed. The condo was very clean & well stocked with everything we needed for the week! We would definitely love to visit again!!!
