Amazing location. The staff was extremly friendly and very respectful. Specially with my 2 years old son. The restaurant serves wonderfull food and they have some of the best coffees I've tried. Will definitely come back.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Aga Surf view in Sri Lanka and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The team at Aga Surf view was amazing, they were very welcoming and made me feel like part of the family. They were incredibly kind and attentive, always available to answer any questions we had. It was clear that they genuinely cared about our comfort and enjoyment during our stay. The beautiful garden was a great place to relax and unwind after a long day of surfing. The food was absolutely delicious, I was blown away by the variety and quality of the meals. The location of the accommodation was perfect, right on the beach with a stunning view of the surf spot. It was the perfect place to catch some waves and soak up the sun. One of the best things about Aga Surf view was the fact that it was a hidden gem during the low season. It was quiet and peaceful, which made for a very relaxing stay. And of course, the star of the show was Lilly, the adorable dog who stole my heart. My wife and I had a wonderful time at Aga Surf view and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Sri Lanka. The combination of the beautiful location, delicious food, and friendly team made for an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to come back and visit again!

Great food, excellent service, overall a very good vibe ones in the property.

The beach 'situation' was a bit weird with another 'company' just right on the beach, kind of between Aga and the beach. No good solution offered for hanging out on the beach, but didn't really matter, we loved it.

The place was magical with nice SriLankan Vibe! Food was delicious and was served with lot of love and care . If you are staying at Aga Surf, you do not have to worry about food or about anything! We took surfing lessons from Thilak and had great fun, Tip: if you are beginner request him to take you to a nearby Kudawella beginner beach. Wherever you want to go you can request them to get a TukTuk for you! Infact they also helped us in exchanging dollars to LNR! They also arranged for our airport pick and drop, and the drive was smooth. They have is calm and blissful Unakuruwa beach, where you can spend whole day! Silent beach is walking distance from here and is one more the most beautiful beaches I have seen. The whole place is soulful and the staff is caring - we were just sitting in the garden post sunset and they came and lighted the candle! If you are thinking it cannot get any better, we also got a unique huge conch shell gift! <3 <3 Will be visiting here again for sure! Oh yes they have amazing coffee with a cool coffee bar :)

loved the beach, pool, room, staff and the entire vibe. Food and coffee was great and the staff was very helpful. We arranged for some tours in the morning and the staff was amazing in preparing breakfast to go for us which was a great touch.

not a negative per se but just feedback for the future -to prioritize the inhouse guests over walk-ins. One morning it took 20 min to get my coffee and I had to chase the staff to give me the menu so I can order breakfast.

beautiful accommodation: spacious and clean rooms, beautiful garden, great restaurant with delicious food and amazing staff! we loved everything and wish we could have stayed longer.

it would be nicer if the pool was only for in-house guests (usually there was a sign up but on one day it seems to have been forgotten so outside guests using the pool).

We cannot recommend Aga Surf View enough! If you are looking for blissful relaxation, delicious food and a stunning coastal setting then look no further- this boutique hotel hits all the spots. The staff are so kind and hospitable and made every effort to ensure we had the best stay. The kitchen went above and beyond to accommodate our vegan needs and all the food we ate was incredible- we especially loved our breakfasts, which felt more like banquets! The room was immaculate and very spacious, with a great shower and comfy bed. The pool was glorious and we were spoilt for choice between relaxing there and the private beach. So glad we extended our stay to spend 3 nights here! Highly, highly recommend!

Absolutely nothing- we cannot fault this stay!

This place is a true gem. In all meanings. The team is so friendly, always a smile on their faces, super helpful and making sure our stay is as pleasant as possible. We arrived even before the check in time and were welcomed with the choice of a fresh juice or coffee. For us, as coffee lovers, was clear coffee. We can highly recommend it, especially after traveling through Sri Lanka, where coffee is not too popular, you find the perfect cup here. The hotel is right at the beach, maintained super well, huge clean rooms, cute restaurant space which is nicely separated from the hotel area with a cool surfer vibe. We also tried their food which is high class and very tasty. You are able to book surf lessons or rent a board here. We had a great time during our lesson. The bay is just as beautiful, clear water with the opportunity to snorkel and to see plenty of underwater fish life and turtles. Still our main appreciation goes towards the team, who made sure we had the best 5 nights here. During the hot day, they brought us some surprise cold smoothies, let us rent their fins for snorkeling or recommended and helped with anything we asked for. Also on our last day we were able to stay a bit longer than the check out which made us enjoy our last day to the fullest. Thanks dear Aga Surf view team, we will for sure recommend everyone to come here, you are doing a fantastic job!!!

There is nothing we would have wished better or differently. We had the perfect stay.

Beautiful location near beach cove with small ocean views, lovely grounds and vibe around pool, dining area, and coffee bar. Nice swimming in cove (and surfing out on break!) and picturesque nearby beaches to walk to. Very comfortable room and front terrace to relax on. Food and drinks were good.

Internet was very spotty, but biggest issue was confusion in payment at Check out as room was only stated in US dollars on Booking, (no statement that it was in local currency and converted). but then was charged 10% more as hotel claimed rate was actually a fixed local currency rate and then converted to dollars. Hotel should state that rate is in local currency when booking or honor US dollar rate. This was only place in Sri Lanka where this occurred as other properties state that rate is in local currency, so subject to fluctuations in US dollars. Or they honor US dollar rate if only stated as dollar rate basis.

Aga is a great place to relax for a few days. The hospitality and kindness of the staff, the laid-back atmosphere, the good food and excellent coffee contributed to an excellent stay. Rooms are very clean and confortable and you can directly organise your surf sessions from the bar of the hotel which is very convenient. The owner as well as Indika, the staff manager, have been extremly helpful.

Not a lot of activities in the immediate neighbourhood (Galle is 1h15 away) but beautiful beaches ("silent beach" for instance).

We had a lovely time at Aga surf! The whole team was very friendly and the food was exceptionally delicious. We had the Sri Lankan chicken curry, mahi mahi ratatouille, and brownie for dinner. The breakfast was equally yummy. The room was beautiful and we felt very welcome and relaxed.

Everything about the hotel was great. There is some construction going on outside the hotel, but this is almost everywhere we've stayed in Sri Lanka.

We had an amazing stay at Aga Surf Hotel! Everything was perfect, starting from our own bungalow with comfortable terrace, with all amenities you may need, daily cleaning and absolute safety. The hotel team was the best we’ve ever seen. Honestly they became our family after spending our time at Aga. We totally changed our plans, didn’t want to go anywhere else and prolongated our stay till the end of our vacation in Sri Lanka. It was so sad to leave this wonderful place, we felt like home there. The hotel territory was so nice and calm. We really enjoyed our staying there, starting our day with king coconut, swimming in a beautiful pool, with wonderful breakfast & the best coffee maybe on the whole island. We enjoyed so much everyday dinners, the variety of dishes, so elegantly served was excellent. One more time many thanks to the chief Dilanta & his professional team! Your tuna was the best!:) It’s quite complicated to describe all the small but very important things, there were so many. We would also like to say a few words about the beaches nearby. In front of the hotel there is Unakuruwa beach, where you can enjoy surfing and swimming. It’s a great spot for beginners and for advanced surfers, many surfers come right to this place and spent a wonderful time there. We took a few lessons from Thilak surfing school, it was really fun! The spot is not crowded so you can enjoy your ride and have a great time after at the Aga cafe.

And there are two more beaches located in a walking distance. The Silent beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka and Secret Beach on the other side of the hotel. We were so excited to have such kind of hidden jams nearby. Anyway we have to notice the waves there were too strong for swimming with little kids or for those who feel uncomfortable with high waves. One more important thing we would like to tell about. As we are a really coffee lovers it was really important for us to have a good coffee. Aga Surf was the right place for us, the coffee was the best with plenty of choices. And what was really interesting to know about that Aga grows & roasts coffee on its own plantation. We couldn’t stand and bought a few packages with us. We would like to thank again the Aga Surf team. Dear Nadji, Indike, Rukman, Thilak, Sachini, Dilanta and others, you are the best, it was so great with you! We miss you and will definitely come back again! Many hugs!

Excellent private bungalow with nice design, large space and great terrace. Closely to the cute small beach which is affordable for swimming (without big waves and stones). Very good restaurant with tasty food and drinks where are definitely the best coffee on the island!!! (including the cocktail Espresso Martini :)). You can buy here such amazing coffee in beans or powder in the pack for independent usage. Very friendly and welcomed stuff. Tasty breakfast including several cups of the great coffee. You can try surfing if you want - the place will provide you all necessary staff. We highly recommend this place for relaxing several days in peace with great level of service.

Our absolute favourite place by the sea in Sri Lanka! Amazing Boutique Hotel with an extremely beautiful garden & pool, beautiful and large rooms with a large and very comfortable bed and blankets, warm showers, calm surroundings, unbelievably tasty food & drinks, the best coffee in Sri Lanka, and some of the nicest people! They accommodated my need for glutenfree meals perfectly! (Many thanks again :) On top of all of that is the location: directly on a beach at a small and secluded bay that is perfect for snorkeling with colourful fish and lots of sea turtles, as well as surfing (on the other half of the bay there is a surf break point). In addition, the Hotel is in walking distance (5 minutes over a small hill) to the Silent Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka. We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Aga Surf View and wished to have stayed there longer. It was our second stay at this place and if we ever come to Sri Lanka again, we will definitely come back here and maybe stay even longer than 3 nights. Everything was perfect!

we absolutely loved our stay at aga surf. the service, the food, the coffee.. we loved it all. brilliant location close to the beaches, plus a short drive to the local town. we felt so comfortable and relaxed, and very much looked after by the staff.

Wow! What a place this is!! An incredible self contained room with a great bathroom and shower. It is set within perfectly manicured and spotless gardens with a nice clean pool. The location is great on a small beach cove for surfing and 5 minutes walk away is silent beach, a huge beautiful secluded beach with giant waves which are very fun - there’s also two beach restaurants for your lobster and prawn needs here. Food and coffee at Aga Surf is great though - must try the Sri Lankan Flavour fish curry with the sambol (10/10), the prawns with salad and the espresso martinis! But what really makes this place special is the team there - so nice, so attentive and make you feel so welcome and at ease, also Lily the dog who is half Lab half ridgeback will steal your heart We will be back!

At the restaurant, while it’s nice to remove the plates and glasses fast since it can attract flies, it’s was sometimes a bit too fast to be removed while still eating and drinking.
