This is a nice place to stay with very friendly staff and clean rooms. The food is good quality and reasonably priced and there is a good choice of beers being Weatherspoons. I didn’t know they did rooms but would recommend based on this hotel.
It would be nice to have a lift fitted so it must be noted that if you have a disability the stairs are challenging. The carpark (Pay & Display) at the rear of the hotel has 6 free spaces for tge hotel provided on a first served basis although I suspect locals are using these, as I’ve been a few times quite early ie 4pm and not managed to get one yet.

Breakfast was in Wetherspoons at the location. There was a few pubs close by. Room facilities was good and included free WiFi at a good speed
Room a bit basic and dated but had all the facilities we needed. Value for money was a fair price for what you got

Having stayed here many times our room was fine but not as good as some we have had in the past. No double glazing so mostly window frames.
Would have preferred a bath rather than a shower which we have always had in the past. Rather cold although heater came on intermittently

Some of the staff are ignorant not a smile between them and not helpful 😡 shame that’s put me off staying again 😢 when about 12 of us come 3 or 4 times a year

Large clean and comfortable room with the pub side being one of the better Wetherspoons. I've always found the staff in Wetherspoons to be professional and helpful and the same applied at the Castle Hotel. Happily stay here again and as a bonus Ruthin was a lovely little market town.
Not the worlds largest car park, which was full of transit vans so I had to use the paid parking next door.

I love everything about this hotel. The suite we stayed in was pretty luxurious and all the aspects of Wetherspoons were at their best. Really good facilities in Room 102.
View over the square was requested and brought back numerous childhood memories.
The only minus I could give the whole experience was the cleanliness of the windows in our suite. The Georgian windows do need a re-paint.

Great value for money. Comfortable room at a great price. Breakfast when you want it and a very very good evening meal. Will go again.
Check in issues- not a major problem. Parking is an additional expense.

The hotel is in a super location surrounded by the historical buildings of Ruthin. Our room was warm and comfy and the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly.
