The spacious terrace with the marvelous view was the main reason for us to book our room at Villa Caterina Affittacamere. Staring over the beautiful blue bay, listening to the singing of the birds in the subtropical garden surrounding the house really felt as if we’d landed in a little paradise. But there was more that we loved about this place: the spotless clean room, the comfortable bathroom, the super delicious breakfast (with homemade cakes, yoghurt fresh from a neighboring farm, exotic fruitsalade, etc.), and last but not least the warm hospitality of Rosalba and her mother. They really made us feel at home! The location in Cersuta, along the Maratea coast, is superb and convenient as long as you have your own vehicle. Villa Caterina Affittacamere has free parking. Maratea centre is about 15 minutes driving, many other great places to visit are nearby too. The whole coastal area is extremely beautiful. We wished we had more time to spend here! Definitely we would choose again for Villa Caterina Affittacamere for a next stay. Grazie mille!

The view and the breakfast

The breakfast was amazing, with home made cake and lots of pastries. The view from the room is beautiful and the owner was extremely friendly and very helpful.

The house is located in not-so crowded area of the seaside, so not much dining or relaxation options around. The train line goes near the house, so you can hear trains going by if you keep the window open.

A very spacious room, extremely clean, with an amazing view from our terrace. Rosalba was a very gracious host. Location is within walking distance to a good seafood restaurant. Breakfast was lovely. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Everything was to perfection

I don't know what an Affittacamere is so that's my fault. The spacious room booked was a junior suite off season. The cordial greeters let us speak to their assistant on the phone in English. The extra heater came in handy.

The property literally sits on the road with a tricky driveway to maneuver. Maratea is a sequence of tiny hamlets along a winding road. This lodging is in walking distance to a good seafood restaurant Cesare, the only one in the area. For off season, the price seemed rather high, especially with a minimal breakfast.

The room we booked was the one with the terrace overlooking the sea - what a great little extra investment! Although the weather didn’t allow us to fully enjoy it, the views are amazing! the inside is basic,but you get everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is a very peaceful area. We were greeted with coffee and cake upon arrival. The breakfast was very nice,we were given the option of italian vs continental food. Cappuccino was very good as well. An excellent restaurant just 5min away, delicious food!

There was a weird knocking noise throughout the night,i’m guessing due to the wind,but it was rather annoying. The parking could be a bit better marked,coming on the road by car it is not obvious that there is this small alley down to the car park.we parked on the main street,and that was fine,just note you can park down next to the buildings.
