Central and comfortable

The apartment was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. There was plenty of room. The owner provided an extensive guide to the area, equipment, etc

The location was for us a big disappointment. The apartment is located in a residential area, high above the river. Town is reached via long steep sets of steps. We soon started walking down the longer but more pleasant road. Also after dark the pathway to the apartment is not really lit, despite several sets of steps. Bearing in mind the location, there were no shops nearby, to stock up on groceries. The above points would matter far less for those with a vehicle. We were surprised to find that the apartment has only one very small window, plus glazing in the door. At any time the lighting needs to be on. This also reduces fresh air ventilation.

It was good for our fitness but if you have any walking difficulties it may not super suitable to do the climb to the top of the stairs. we enjoyed the walk

fast and good communication with Manuela. Whatever we wanted or needed, Manuela helped us. The apartment was well equipped, we found everything we needed. There were a lot of towels or blankets available. 2 bikes for use, which we used very much. And we had the most beautiful parasol on the beach ! :) The room was quiet. We got a good wine from Manuela for the welcome. We felt almost at home in the apartment. If we go to Tavira again in the future, we will definitely stay here again. Thank you Manuela!

we where a bit unlucky with location but that takes nothing away from our stay the steps down to cross the bridge can be a bit to much. we had bikes to use which was great

First class hostess and accommodation :) Manuela was welcoming, available, extremely helpful and just plain lovely...! Best sleeps..window open..no noise ..so peaceful The apartment had EVERYTHING-she thought of EVERYTHING

Manuela was very welcoming even collected from the railway station she has been very helpful.

The apartment had only one small window so no daylight in main rooms only one small window in bedroom with view of passageway. It was a climb up many steps over 100 which was fine for us we are quite fit but could be a problem for some.

Really lovely host in Manuela - very helpful, attentive and kind. A great base for exploring Tavira and the East of the Algarve towards the Spanish border. Take advantage of the free bicycle offered - and cycle to Cabanas, Fabrika, Manta Rota, Cacela Velha, Monte Gordo and Vila Real Santo Antonio. The apartment is clean, safe, and has good facilities. The walk into town is 10 to 15 minutes. The apartment is tastefully decorated and feels very homely. There is a log-burner and fuel for colder nights, but I didn't have to use it thanks to the great climate. There is a good selection of English TV Channels showing films in English 24/7, and also a DVD player and a selection DVDs.

There is little natural light in the apartment - as there is only a single window in the main bedroom. There is no private outdoor space - so don't expect a balcony, terrace or patio. You can put a couple of plastic chairs outside on the footpath - but it is public, not private.
