De vriendelijke gastheer en het uitgebreide ontbijt met lokale kazen , vers sap en zelfgemaakte jams waren fantastisch.

We kregen een andere kamer dan we geboekt hadden. We vonden de kamer klein, slechte kussens en het bed was 1.60 breed. De trap naar boven is gehorig. De kamer is verder voorzien van prima sanitair en een apart toilet wat altijd fijn is. Het dorp is een beetje vergane glorie, maar heeft dan wel weer een Michelin restaurant wat echt de moeite waard is om te bezoeken en een heerlijke bakker. We vinden het dus moeilijk te beoordelen, want de gastheer is echt gastvrij en het ontbijt is super, maar het voelt toch een beetje of je thuis op je oude slaapkamer slaapt bij je ouders.

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit sehr schönen Zimmern. Das Frühstück - mit frischem Orangensaft und selbstgemachten Konfitüren zu den Croissants - war sehr lecker. Haben für eine Nacht auf dem Weg in den Süden dort übernachtet und würden es jederzeit wieder tun.

super comfortable, clean and well-designed building with nice garden

Lovely converted convent and extremely stylish. Lovely large rooms with teas / instant coffee and kettle (unfortunately no milk!). Owner takes great pride in his property and was helpful with providing a broom to clear the snow from our car. The owner speaks little English but we managed to get by with our limited French. Lots of good local shops - bakeries, cheese shop, butcher and petrol station in the village. We ate at the pizzeria in the town which was very average. Lovely breakfast - everything was very fresh and the local comte cheese was delicious.

We were travelling as a family and our children (albeit teenagers) were at the opposite end to us so - the owner shushed us quite loudly and rudely as we had to go between the rooms to visit the children and the flooring is all wooden so clearly it disturbed him below. Although it was mentioned in the listing, I had missed that they do not take credit cards so had to go out in the snow to the cash point.

Very well renovated old and characterful property with airy and spacious bedroom, with teas / instant coffee and kettle. Well situated on the edge of the Revermont, with distant views of Beaujolais. Very friendly owner. 100 yards from good restaurant Au Petit Relais. Some travelers may wish to know that the owner speaks little English, and that those with very wide vehicles may find the turn into the property tricky. Bakeries, good cheese shop, convenience store and butcher in the village.

Our only minor point was that our pillows were not that comfortable, though they were pretty normal for France - we Brits must be more fussy.

Perfect breakfast, perfect reception

I loved the architecture of Le Cercle. The high ceilings give you a feeling of space and evoke quietness. Le Cercle is situated in a small quiet village, and is perfect in combination with a meal at Au petit relais. Breakfast and home made jam were also super.
