A shower pole to hold the shower above your head would have been very handy!

Lovely quiet location. Massive room with extra bed upstairs. Comfortable bed.

The pillows were very uncomfortable. The shower situation was ludicrous. Hand held shower which you had to stand in the bath to use. Plenty of room to fix the shower to the wall and add a shower curtain or screen.

Host was great and room was really nicely decorated. House is quite beautiful.

The room is literally a bedroom in someone’s house, which wasn’t clear on the advert. There is also a decent amount of noise from other rooms because of the wooden flooring and it’s a good 12-15 minute drive to St Malo.

A beautiful, quiet hotel. Spacious room with very comfortable beds. We booked a family room and there is a separate bed upstairs for children. The hotel is located on a quiet road about 10 minutes drive from the centre of Saint-Malo with free parking on site. There is a bus stop nearby (the journey into Saint-Malo took roughly 15 minutes). Parking in the centre of Saint-Malo is difficult at weekends so this was a better option. There is also a park and ride service nearby. Check-in is between 5 and 8 pm but you can contact the property to arrange earlier access to your room.

the owners were on holiday. if they’d been there we would’ve enjoyed more interaction which is always a key factor for us when we travel.

the WiFi was weak. guests arrived, who were staying in the room above, and walked for several hours in squeaky floors so we didn’t have a good nights sleep. there was no enclosed shower so only bath facility

the room was huge for 4 adults, a bed in each floor. it was clean and calm

i didn't like that it was cold and the heating system cant be controlled by the resident,there were no lights in the ceiling, the side lights were ok but i don't like dim lighting. this type of room shouldn't be available in the search for two adults and a baby of two years old because it is over sized for them, the baby will not sleep in a bed on the second floor. Four adults will be perfect in this type of rooms. the boiling pot was dirty, it needed scrubbing because some burned stuff were stuck in the bottom. by the way the room i am talking about is named Durance

the rooms were nicely furnished.

The outside was very shabby - nothing like the photos- weeds everywhere, lawns uncut and looking very neglected. Note that check-in is at 5pm.( I hadn’t seen this) After a long drive I arrived about 3 30. ( check in for most places is between 3-4?) The owner kindly came back to the property and let me in but very businesslike. Noisy floorboards from above.

Beautifully decorated family room - attention to detail was second to none. I loved the fact the children had their own sleeping area upstairs - as did they. Rooms were very clean and light, and the bathroom well proportioned. In hindsight, I would have pre-booked breakfast, as we were leaving on Sunday morning for a ferry to Jersey, and thought we might find breakfast at the port - only to find nothing was available there (not even coffee).

The place, the sttaff and the size of the room

The toilet was literally in the closet which was remodeled as such. Problem is that it didn’t have any window nor air vents.
