Location was good and Monopoli is a lovely place

The host was rude when checking in. We came to Monopoli with friends coming from Australia that were staying in another apartment and he assumed they were staying with us which was not the case. They were staying at a better place in the waterfront. The host forbid our friends to visit the apartment assuming bad faith from us and assuming that we were going to make parties when we are a family with little children. It was upsetting and had a negative effect on our stay as we had to explain to our friends that we were dealing with a difficult host. We ended up having a good time in Monopoli and spend most of the time at our friends terrace which was much nicer and right by the sea. The apartment is fine but not amazing. Just to check we were not telling lies, the host was regularly having a drink at the restaurant downstairs right outside the apartment. The place is fine but not if you are meeting other families or friends.

It was right in the centre of the old town in a buzzy piazza. Quiet at night. Lovely apartment with furnishings in keeping with the beautiful building. Immaculately clean.

The parking is quite tricky as you have to drive around a lot to get a free spot and take the bags form there. A lot of very steep steps to get up to apartment but the stair lift was a great help with the bags !

The website creates the wrong impression, specially regarding the outside patio which is on the roof and not directly accessable from the living area. No one mentioned the 24/7 noise from the restaurants below. No double glazing etc to keep out noise. And then, there are 57 very steep and narrow steps to get to apartment. It was virtually impossible to carry luggage to the apartment.

Stairs, although there was a stair lift if needed. Bed was a little uncomfortable. No cable TV.

It was very spacious, exceptionally clean and everything you needed. Gianni, the host, was very helpful bringing our luggage up the stairs to our apartment.

The only negative for us, as we are seniors, the 52 stairs, but Gianni helped with our luggage to our apartment and also came to help on our departure.

The very helpful and responsive host, the spacious, comfortable apartment and the rooftop!! Location is very central and easy access to shops, sights, restaurants and beaches.

The only downside to the location is the loud music on the weekends….

The combination of central location + roof terrace = unbeatable! During 'siesta' hours in the late afternoon when most shops & restaurants close, we just went up to our roof terrace to read a book with a glass of wine & olives. The apartment itself is clean, well-equipped & value for money too.

Perfectly located apartment with a fantastic terrace with a view of the sea and old town rooftops. Gianni has been very welcoming and helpful. The apartment was fully eqiupped and very spacious. I had a great week just walking, chilling on the terrace and enjoying the sunrises and sunsets.

Great location in Piazza Garibaldi - centro storico. Just walk down the (many) steps from the apartment and you are right in the center of the piazza with bars, cafes, bakery and restaurants surrounding you. Large apartment with a rooftop terrace to enjoy aperitivo and great views over Monopoli. The steep and many stairs may not be for everyone (no elevator) but we enjoyed the exercise several times daily! We also enjoyed the Moka pot for coffee in the morning. Convenient street parking (free on and after Oct 1) 2 blocks away.

Our only “opportunity for improvement” comment was the shower which leaked and also the drainage was poor.

The apartments were spacious, well equipped and impeccably clean! Hot showers, comfortable beds, full size fridge, and we loved our huge rooftop terrace with its beautiful plants and amazing views!

Our check-in was delayed by 2 hours because the host was late to meet us, he was out of town. But once he arrived he gave us a good tour of everything.

A lot of stairs to reach the apartment. 52 to the apartment level but once you get there - a beautiful view awaits you.

The location was perfect! The apartment building is located near the harbor with its entrance at a lively square with nice restaurants and coffee places. One would expect that the noise of the square would reach the apartment, as is the case with some other places nearby, but the apartment was absolutely quiet because of the double-pane windows and wooden shutters. The one-bedroom apartment we booked has a comfortable living room annex open kitchen, and an excellent bathroom. Furthermore, the apartment has a fantastic bonus: a wonderful roof terrace (each of the four apartments for rent have a separate terrace) with a table and chairs, and two adjustable beach beds. It's a great place to have breakfast or relax after a day at the beach. True, one has to climb a large but wide stairway to reach the apartment but one gets used to it. The alternative would be a ground floor apartment but that would have the disadvantage of street noise well into the night. Finally, the host and owner was extremely welcoming and ready to provide assistance. Whenever in Monopoli, we will definitely book this apartment again.

It was perfect. The apartment exceeded our expectations.

The location is superb. I was there in late September and I was able to find parking lot nearby. It was free during weekdays thanks to off-season. The owner of the property is a decent, beautiful person to know. He is very attentive.

The steep stairs you have to climb to the room is demanding indeed. If you are not 100% fit and/or healthy, think twice. Saying this; climbing stairs seems normal for almost all available accommodations in Monopoli. In mid to late september it was still noisy.

Extremely clean, spacious, airy, very well equipped (can easily cook a full dinner), with a very helpful and welcoming host. Can’t say enough about the incredible terrace with beautiful plants, drying rack, lounges, table and chairs, a place to bbq and a fabulous unobstructed view in every direction. Listening to the church bells and hearing people talk and enjoy dining was a delight. This apartment felt like a home. The basic supplies were all stocked: T.P., hand soap, dish soap, coffee, etc.

No dislikes. There are many steep steps up to the apartment. I felt the climb was rewarded by the beauty of the apartment and the terrace.

The location was probably the best you could have. Close to the harbour, best restaurants and all the sights of the old town. Gianni,the host, was so helpful. He answered any queries very quickly and was there to greet us when we arrived and carried our luggage to the apartment before showing us around.

The location was extremely central and we were able to see many local activities from the comfort of the terrace. we saw marching bands weddings and other authentic daily Italian rituals , our 'warm pastry breakfast' was collected from the small shop 30 meters across the square and became a daily occurrence. Hardly a dislike but after a long day and a large dinner with a beer or two the steps were sometimes a challenge but I guess they burned the calories:) That said the walk from the restaurants to the apartment was sometimes only a few strides so central was the property.

Church bells were very loud but at least you knew it was 7am when the nearest one tolled 70 , yes 70 times.

Location was perfect. The apartment was very spacious and so very clean. The roof terrace is wonderful for sunbathing and a drink in the evenings Gianni and Michela were helpful in recommending restaurants etc. There are a lot of stairs to climb up to the apartment so maybe not for someone who has mobility issues,although there was a stair lift there,for the longest part of the stairs

Palazzo Dei Gesiuiti was a great find. Beautifully appointed, vv clean, great location and Gianni is a great host. He looked after us extremely well.
