Beste verblijf en maaltijden tijdens mijn 4 maanden solo reis. Deze kant van het eiland is zonder twijfel de mooiste! Ryan de eigenaar is heel behulpzaam en laat je thuis voelen, de rest van het personeel is ook altijd in voor een praatje. Het is soms wat moeilijk om er te geraken, maar het is het meer dan waard. Vanuit het domein kan je onder andere aapjes en eekhorens zien.

The owners were amazing host, the food was amazing and more than reasonably priced, the property is nothing short of magical. So much of the food is grown on property. The labor and love is very apparent. We could not have asked for a better experience. We will certainly be back to visit Ryan and Angela again.

Nothing it was perfect

Everything about it felt like a magical gem hidden in the mountains. Fruit trees and flowers and butterfly’s everywhere! With a view out over the lake too. So the environment of the place was amazing, the owners and workers were super helpful with organizing activities and really nice people and the food was top notch, tasted fresh and was sooo yummy!!! loved our whole experience there! Also loved the yoga/workout area.

I know they are putting hot water in so that would probably be nice on a colder day but not a deal breaker for us as the weather is generally warm anyway. A little bumpy road to get there but also makes it feel like your really finding a hidden gem of a place. Wifi access in the room would be handy but it forces you to be off your phone more which is always nice.

Finca Mystica is a beautiful property. Our room was spacious, clean, and had good ventilation. The restaurant has delicious food for reasonable prices. We had a great time meeting other travellers and chatting with the hosts. Highly recommend!

Set in the middle of tropical nature. Beautifully remote yet connected to the local community. The ethos is look after the world around us and each other.

Ow my goodness, the best dorm everrrr. Double comfortable beds with net, your own fan and it’s cool at night. I didn’t sleep very well until I slept here and the other guest all day the same. We call this place a vacation within your vacation. Beautiful jungle with many monkeys, lovely dogs and cat, everything is clean, cozy, yoga dome, l swimming pool to cool of, 10 min walk to the beach for an amazing sunset and AMAZING FOOD and staff. It’s a Mystical Dream.

This place is a standout - first and foremost because of the exceptionally wonderful staff! The finca is set in lush gardens, comes with a terrace that’s great to socialize, has a great kitchen and is located in a really nice spot that let’s you see your daily sunset.

this is one of the most beautiful places you will find! there loads of small hang-out places to retrieve. take a walk through the garden and discover star fruit trees, pineapples, cocoa trees and monkeys! the dorm is spacious, clean and good beds! it’s quiet during the day and so nice meeting for dinner at night.

the personnel are reluctant to keep a bottle a water, a bit of food/fruit or anything in the refrigerator for you. with pretty expensive meals it would be nice if they could accommodate this. the road leading up to the hostel is in VERY bad condition. it makes it a bit hazardous to go up with the scooter - especially after rain

Finca Mystica was an amazing experience for us. We were so happy to stay here for 4 nights! The staff was super friendly and professional. We had a great connection with Wilfredo and Gairo. We loved the pool. The place is very hygienic and clean. Absolute 10/10 for moneys worth.

Only thing that could be improved is hot water in the shower

Finca Mystica lies beautifully a bit uphill on the Maderas volcano. It has a very well kept up garden with lots of different plants. Most of them are labeled, at least on one of them, with their name. There is a beautiful Deck where you can order Breakfast, Lunch and preorder Dinner. All is reasonably priced and tastes good. Motorcycles and Scooters are available for rent if you ask at the reception. Dormrooms have big beds, are equipped with Moscitonets and a Fan for each bed. The 3 Bedroom-House is spacious with a big Bathroom and a small Safe. Waterfall San Ramon is quite close. The other destinations are quite far, but that would be from any other hostel as well. There is also a short Hikingtrail right off of the Location They Organized us a Taxi (30$ in Total) from the Ferry to the Hostel. Taking the bus takes quite a while longer but ist cheaper.

Wifi is only really stable at the Cafe. The Door to the dorms shuts quite Loudly, so it is necessary to close it with the key.

The location is up hills and far away from everything (beach, food & city center or other hostels) but located in a spot where you can sleep in peace and no party noises at any time. They have security at night. They don't have a kitchen to use and I found the prices a bit expensive in their own restaurant. YOU DEFINITELY NEED A SCOOTER FOR THIS HOSTEL. RENT IT BEFORE YOU GO THERE.

Loved everything about this place. Stayed for 6 nights and would have loved to stay even longer. If you're looking for a beautiful quite place to just enjoy nature, read and relax, this is it! If you're renting a scooter, your can easily get around. Without it's a bit tricky as it's a bit remote. The staff is super friendly and I got the chance to practice my Spanish :) the food is amazing. They serve dinner for the guests at 7 and its delicious. Every morning I was already looking forward to dinner. There are usually 2 vegetarian options which is amazing. My favorite was their homemade chocolate truffle - so good. There are 2 dogs that accompany you for the little trail around the property. Loved everything about Finca Mystica :))

The location is beautiful! The food was phenomenal! Local organic food. And the staff were all so kind. Loved the horseback riding.

The driveway would be very difficult to drive during the wet season.

Overall this place is pretty nice. The main area is nice to hang out in to eat, use the wifi or lay in a hammock. I also loved the spot in front of the rooms where you have your own hammock and seating area to listen to the trees and monkeys. There are some views of the lake as well at a distance. The place is clean and the dinners are some of the best food you'll eat on your travels. Overall the island of Ometepe is a bit more expensive vs. the bigger cities so the prices here are pretty much in-line. If you're looking for a chilled out vibe this is a great spot. It's about a 30 min walk to the entrance of the waterfall which is a must-do.

What makes it a nice spot with a view also creates a bit of work. It's about a 10-12 mins walk up hill from the main road so can a bit of work. Also some shuttle vans will not drive up the hill so if you have your big pack or just touring around be ready to walk. Also based on where it is located there isn't a lot that is walking distance. You would have to rent a scooter or hop on the bus.

Wilfredo was the man, exceptionally accommodating, always going above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable stay. He spoke fantastic English and was always professional with a big smile. The food is incredible, everything was fresh, organic and handmade. The garden is intricate and beautiful. Highly recommend Finca Mystica!
